The restaurant is close to the ferry building and very charming. Although is was Friday night we got a table for two without a reservation! The steaks were excellent (though a bit expensive but absolutely worth the money) and so was the service. Great somelier and waiters! Thanks for a great dinner out!

Been before and really enjoyed it. This time decided a Wagu sirloin was the go and was bitterly disappointed. The steak I swear was an off cut from mad butcher that was thrown out. I am sure it wasn't Wagu at all. In saying this the rest of the meal was brilliant and the service was magic.

We read great reviews, but what a disappointment. Fancy having to pay extra for sauce to go with an expensive steak. The pork was dry and overlooked. We won't be in a hurry to visit again.

Just in for the day on the Cruise ship and found this great bar. Sat and talked to Richard behind the bar and had a wonderful afternoon talking sport and drinking beer. Saw the interaction between the team working there and they all seemed to enjoy each others company and had a good relationship between themselves, which in turn rubs... More

Night cap at Botswana, busy night for boys behind the bar, even so they were very attentive. Particularly Richard, made us feel very welcome when we arrived. Watched his manager Jeremy being very unprofessional towards him, was not nice to witness.

Don't be put off by the name of this restaurant as it is very good indeed. Situated right on the front with views of the ferries coming in and out. We sat outside, two nights running as the standard of service by the young lady was excellent. All the food we had was very tasty indeed and can recommend the... More

As a waiheke resident this is the departure lounge before the evening ferry. The lovely Richard is charming behind the bar, with an excellent knowledge of local and international wines. Top shelf.

On a Saturday night we didn't have a restaurant booking, but we were found a spot at the bar. We had a pleasant meal and a couple of nice glasses of nice wine. The bar staff were very friendly, supplying us with usefyul tips for our stay in Auckland. It was altogether a nice place to go. It's a nice... More

I had a great experience for dinner last night at the Botswana Butchery in Auckland. I've been the Queenstown Botswana many times and was thrilled to see there was one here in Auckland as well whilst I was visiting from Australia. The food and service was excellent as I've come to expect, and having a sommellier help select wines for... More
