Always a pleasure to eat here, the food is fresh and flavoursome, the variety wide and suitable for all palates. Ideal group lunch, sharing choices or a more intimate lunch for two. Great staff, good wines and beers, wide range of dishes. A perfect location.

Disappointing meal overall. Used to be a favourite but won’t be returning any time soon. 3 large (but little meat) ribs for $38 was not only expensive but meat was tough (used to fall off the bone) and the very little sauce available was average...More

There were three of us and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. Our waitress was extremely knowledgable about all the food and the service really was first class. But the best bit, the food! Amazing flavours, brilliant choice. Would...More

Wonderful flavours and fresh ingredients. Cafe Hanoi is a modern Vietnamese restaurant situated in an old warehouse building in Britomart. It does not take reservations in the evening so we just turned up and were told that we would not have long to wait for...More

Quirky restaurant, busy and buzzing. I was a bit disappointed with the food as there was limited choice but that was the style. What was had was fine but not the best I have tried.

Description
Café Hanoi is a modern Vietnamese restaurant housed within a heritage warehouse space in Britomart, the city’s oldest commercial district. The restaurant reflects our passion and respect for Vietnamese food and culture. Our menu offers authentic Hanoian street food that has made the city world famous, and other more modern dishes that pair traditional Northern Vietnamese cooking techniques with the best of New Zealand produce. We are very careful to choose ingredients that have been sourced with a deep respect for the environment.
