We ate at Wildflower last night and I was impressed by the quality of the food and the unique aspects of each of the dishes (5 courses). However, I felt the service was really substandard. We had multiple waiters and hence never knew who was coming to our table to serve next. The waiters all seemed very rushed and really didn't spend the time explaining the dishes in a relaxed and informative way. With a couple of waiters their english meant it was difficult at times to understand what they were saying. The waiters who were serving the wine also were abit slow and rushed. To top it off we were specifically asked when the bill came, whether we would like to pay a tip. I think at t restaurant of this calibre, the waiters should certainly not be asking the customer if they are prepared to pay a tip. A restaurant of this calibre should aim to make the customer comfortable and relaxed. Sadly this did not happen.

This is the most elegant restaurant I've been to since I left France 10 years ago. Service is impeccable, food is delicious to both the tastebuds and the eyes, and the surroundings are quietly yet beautifully designed. (The toilets are even 'individual'!)
The menu is tuned to the 6 Nyoongar seasons — which is a wonderful idea — using local ingredients to create fine modern Australian cuisine.
My daughter had sent us a gift voucher for $480 last Christmas, and we decided to use it to celebrate my birthday. The four-course tasting experience (one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian) with matched wines, a long black coffee and an Armagnac came to exactly $482.50. (Best $2.50 lunch I've ever had!)
There's a less expensive two-course lunch, for $56/person, but I reckon that by the time you add a couple of glasses of wine, you're going to be easily in the $100/person range.
Fine dining experience, though, worth at least one time to try!

The restaurant was beautiful but we were placed in one of the few seats with no view at all, which was disappointing when I'm from another state.
The food was very interesting and most was lovely but there were some misses, We had the six course degustation menu and I didn't enjoy the first course with the scallops finding that the scallop was a bit overpowered by other strong flavours with it, although my friend loved it. e both felt the pork was a little over cooked and I loved the lamb although my friend found the sauces overpowered the meat. The brie ice-cream with rosella shards was really interesting, but we both agree that the octopus and coconut marshmallow dishes were the stand outs.
When we first sat down we were offered still or sparkling water - we weren't offered tap water and we made the incorrect assumption that still was tap water. We were charged $20 for two bottles of still later - and I know that we didn't finish the last one. This may seem petty, but the option of tap water should have been made,
All up with one cocktail, we spent over $400 (and were charged a merchant fee for using a credit card).
It was great and we're glad we went but overall found the entire meal a bit single note with the overwhelming native flavours.

It all started well with some good service from valet parking, which included being shown to restaurant lift.
Upstairs we were introduced to “our waiter for the night”, comfortable seating with a good view, menus, water, orders taken, and bread. The only initial irritation was the restaurant being a bit over crowded and noisy.
Drinks came quickly but sign of problems ahead occurred when the $36 glass of champagne was flat and had to be replaced. My red was in a huge glass with 10% wine and 90% air like a tasting serve as with the 5-course option for those who like raw fish.
Entrees came quickly and were well presented, like the whole meal, and tasty but some of the wrong broth was poured on my wife’s dish.
Service overall was very bad (e.g. having to ask several waiters for more water), something that happens automatically at places like the Ledbury in London and Matilda Bay etc in Perth. Staff appeared very busy and rushing but focusing on the set menu. We had several waiters, all with various accents, so it was difficult to get some responsibility and consistency.
There was a long wait on mains, accentuated by the lights going down and the champagne going flat. Mains finally arrived, cold and rarer than we requested but by this stage we just wanted to get away. I imagine our mains were sitting on a bench top for some time. Several requests of the bill were then required.
In summary, Two stars – below average and deserving of its #31 rating of dinner dining in Perth.

4 of us booked in fir the 6 course degustation with matching wines ,we spent over $1100 . The course were lovely but my only criticism is that the wine got serviced before your meal arrived and you have drunken most of it before the meal arrived, all the other places the wine is serviced and explained just after each course arrives. We were still eating our last course when the bill was placed on the table which we all found a little of putting.

We went for the 6 course degustation dinner last weekend.
I have a shellfish allergy so was very pleased with my alternative dishes - tomatoes with mozarella (1st dish) and carrits with a honey glaze (2nd dish). All the food was delicious and immaculately presented.
My favourite dish was the tomato and mozzarella starter & duck with apricots.
Be warned it is very expensive (over$200 pp including 2 bottles of wine & 2 cocktails)

I have now done 35+ reviews on Trip Advisor and I think this is the first one I have done that has not been positive.
We treated ourselves to a night at the Como Treasury Hotel which was fantastic.
But the 4 course tasting menu which cost nearly $500 for the 2 of us was a huge disappointment. Service was excellent as was the wine but the food was not what we hoped for and we have eaten at top restaurants all over the world.
The pate on brioche, the mozzarella foam, the brown butter on the maron all tasted almost of mayonnaise with not very lovely traces of vinegar. We just did not like it.

Last time in Perth we had a memorable dinner at Wildflower. We visited again last night but in the meantime the Executive Chef had moved to the new restaurant Hearth at Ritz Carlton. He is missed at Wildflower: The creativity and imagination of the cuisine is gone. The dishes are still excellently prepared but very basic in presentation and aromas. The day before we dined at Hearth and the cuisine there is at least as creative as Wildflower used to be.
Add to that, that the service at Wildflower is unattentive and forgetful whereas at Hearth it is of excellent quality I can just say: Follow the chef.

Our first visit last night.
Seated and initially served by a nice young man. Thereafter each course was delivered by a different person, some very hard to understand so no continuity. Water glasses empty and not refilled until we actually asked to replace the glasses as they smelt badly of egg. My husband's wine glass also smelt but he was to embarrassed to ask to change it.
The food was beautifully prepared but meat dishes stone cold. Both pork and lamb very tender.
It was our 30th anniversary and we were asked to wait after we had dessert for something special. Delivered some pettit fours, which is standard (we had friends there who got the same) and noticed the couple behind us delivered a "happy anniversary" treat. Odd.
Having staff stand over you with the eftpos machine at payment with "do you wish to leave a tip" .... very awkward. I always tip if deserved but being asked is not my cup of tea thus reducing the tip to a token.
I enjoyed the food. Husband didn't like the experience once he smelt the glasses.

We dined at Wildflower to celebrate our wedding anniversary. SERVICE: The staff who greeted us upon our arrival were friendly. Their attentiveness was evident from the outset (except, surprisingly, that they did not place our napkins in our laps). We enjoyed conversing appropriately with the wait staff, and especially appreciated Gia's friendliness and sense of humour. FOOD: The inspiration the chef drew from the six Noongar seasons resulted in some wonderful flavours in the four course degustation meal we ordered. The scallop, the marron and the dessert were excellent with interesting combinations of flavours and textures. The lamb was beautifully cooked, but we were disappointed with the vegetables which accompanied it. WINE We enjoyed the Fraser Gallop Chardonnay. Overall, our experience made for a memorable evening.

This restaurant feels very special when you arrive, it’s been developed to a very high standard and is very comfortable.
It’s a nice menu using local ingredients and has an extensive wine menu. The food is ok, at times it misses details such as cutting out the fat from the lamb or getting the seasoning right.
The service is good although at times they miss topping up the wine or water.
Worth a visit and we had a good night. It is almost excellent

Waited months to finally get in. Table not ready although staff were apologetic. Paid nearly $500 for food that was meh. Duck chewy and bland, pork tasteless. Every dish served with a endless spiel about ‘what they did’ or ‘what was in it’. That only holds interest if the food is exceptional. Maybe don’t slow roast it for 8 hours if it still tasted boring. Maybe - ‘it took several hours to make this look and sound beautiful’, would have been more appropriate. Botanical drink pairing was interesting. We have had uncounted meals at high class restaurants around the world. This is the first where we had a different person serve each course. We think it’s so they can remember the script for their dish. Barely any relationship building with us. Certainly no reflection on the staff themselves who were professional and efficient. And we had sparkling water which was consistently refilled and then charged for several bottles. Almost uncomfortably cold, saw a few people in jackets, chairs didn’t allow you to lean in and chat. Didn’t feel romantic & when we questioned the $100 deposit and the bill, we were explained to in an unnecessarily loud voice why it was just ‘pending’. Why does $ keep coming up in my review? Because you forget the cost if it’s wonderful and for this price we should have been leaving happy & amazed. We left feeling really disappointed.

I booked a table for six for wildflower on the 22nd of February for my birthday and it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life.
I’m not a petty person that will write a bad review I’d prefer just not to go back to the that particular place but for this experience I must as it was horrendous. The easiest way for me to do this is by listing all the issues we came across.
1. The lady taking our drinks order took two of our orders at the start then disappeared without saying why whilst taking the cocktail menu and came back 10 minutes later asking if the rest of us were ready to make our orders for drinks. The two girls at the table had to google the bar menu to choose a cocktail. She also didn’t pour one of us water until we asked twice which was 30 minutes after the first time we asked. Obviously we could of poured our own water but the bottle gets taken away after the original pour which she missed one glass.
2. My friend at the end of the table got given the incorrect Beer which he decided not to complain about as in his own words ‘The way the service has been theres no point’ and upon inspection of the reciept after we left we were charged for it. As there is a time limit of 1 hour 50 mins we were rushed out we didn’t have time to check as we were asked to leave the restaurant.
3. This one is a small one but the lady who took our drink order asked if we would like some more bread I said yes. During the dessert course which was close to an hour later she came back and said sorry i forgot your bread did u still want it. Pretty embarrassing for a high end place like this.
4. I’m going to be fair and say two of the courses the main and the Dessert were great(definately not enough to save the night or the rating but very good). The heirloom tomato course was good until your find ice in the curd. I don’t know if it’s meant to be that way but 4 of us including me had small shards of ice in the curd which made the dish a weird texture. The cured snapper was good for 5 of us but one of the girls who ate only a single bite didn’t finish it as there was an hair that looked like an eyelash on the plate. She’s wasn’t a massive fan of the dish as she tried her partners but we wanted to test out to see if the waitress would ask why she barely touched it. Firstly she came around as asked did everyone like that? The person that had the hair said No and that was that no further question no follow up. We found this hilarious but really it’s kind of in acceptable.
Anyway you may find these reasons petty but I feel like I have to warn people who, like myself was expecting to be dazzled, to lower your expectations and check your reciept!

Having eaten during the day we opted for the four-course tasting menu where we each selected a different main. Sharing these mains allowed us to taste all but one of the courses from the six-course tasting menu.
Plus we opted for the sommelier's wine matches which made for the perfect evening as each dish was accompanied by the perfect wine. The staff (waiters and sommelier) spent time explaining each course and each wine (region and why it matched the course) which made the experience all the more enjoyable - without a doubt the best restaurant in Perth!

Arrived Perth on the 13th with my wife arrving later that night. Being the 14th the next day nothing seemed to be available for dinner but the concierge at the Como the Treasury suggested Wildflower, their in House fine dining. With no expectations we sat for the degustation menu and were totally amazed. The food and service were of the highest quality, matching a good 2 michelin star in the UK. The food probably 3 star in many respects. Outstanding experience. In later discussion with the kitchen they received their 3rd 'Hat', one of only two restaurants in Perth (I'm told).
