Excellent food, services and decor. The skilled chefs and personable wait staff make this a really nice place for a treat or just every day. After many years at the old Swan Brewery, Outram Street may now be ‘the’ place. Twice recently we have tried...their lunch special, terrific. Highly recommended.More

Firstly, Zafferano is now situated at 49 Outram Street, West Perth. It has taken over the space of a previous restaurant and as in the previous case the dining area and ambiance is first rate. Zafferano has an easy to follow menu which highlights some...excellent dishes displaying great variety of flavours. The food was excellent; the chorizo risotto and duck were both delicious. I had tastes of a number of other dishes which were equally as good. The wine list has a good range of familiar wines complemented by plenty of interesting offerings from around the World. In a restaurant of this class a little more attention to improving the wine knowledge of the staff would benefit. On the main the staff were very attentive and most pleasant. We had a most enjoyable fine dining experience. .More

Zafferanos never disappoints and remains our favourite restaurant in Perth. Service is always great and food is fantastic even to our Italian family of fussy eaters! All the pastas and seafood is quality - must try sausage (chorizo) and truffle mash - my personal favourites!

Very disappointing and definitely not in the fine dining bracket. A lot of staff who didn't seem to know what they were doing (not their fault/training required) and the food was pretty ordinary. You don't expect to pay fine dining prices for meals that you...could sadly cook better at home. Desserts appeared and tasted like they were buy ins, not made in house.More

Pros Venue is outstanding, no doubt about it. The views of the river and city skyline are outstanding. Good wine list. Good selection of seafood on the menu and generally attentive staff. The venue was reasonably busy for a Saturday, about two thirds full. Con...Wow. Prices are mining boom prices. Some main courses are priced at $60-70. For a piece of fresh fish? Beyond belief. $25 for a dessert? With cocktails, entrees, wine, main course and a single dessert, we averaged about $160 per person. This is the most expensive meal I’ve had in Perth. Our waitress misunderstood the main course one of us ordered. So while they took back the incorrect order, the rest of the food sat on our table while we waited for the correct main course to be delivered. Could have been avoided by repeating the order back to us when it was ordered. Verdict: some dishes were outstanding, like the seafood chowder, the main courses were just ok. The order mixup was a let down. The dessert passable, but that’s our opinion. I didn’t think the view, venue and service justifies the price and don’t think we will visit again.More

Love the location and view. One of the best in Perth. Service was excellent. My husband had steak and was very happy with it. The bread was very tasty however I got the crab special. Crab is my favourite seafood and I have it frequently....I was so disappointed. The crab meat had been minced and had onion in it. It honestly did not taste like crab. There was none of the beautiful flavour and texture of crab. In fact I found it quite off-putting and struggled to eat it. I left most of my meal. The staff asked why I hadn't eaten it and I said it just wasn't to my taste however I think the crab was very poorly treated.More

Overpriced, average quality, undertrained staff, worst value-for-money restaurant we have been to. First and last time at that restaurant, they obviously think that the location is worth a 200% premium. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Our meal was $300- real value was probably...$140.More

Food was good but not great, not worth the $ price tag, serves are very small - could easily eat an entree main and dessert which is not common for me. Service was just OK, wines were mixed up and one of our guests had...a plate of food dropped over him as the table was being cleared. The staff were also bickering at eachother infront of us which wasnt a great look. Tables werevery close together it was very difficult to get out to go to the bathroom then get back in basically had to ask everyone along the way to move their chairs in. Wont be in a hurry to return.More

My friend and I had dinner here recently and was very disappointed. We ordered from the vegan menu , my friend ordered the roast mushroom dish the main meal size , when it arrived we were shocked at how little effort had been put into...the dish, not to mention how small it was , it was around 2 mushrooms and some rocket with a few sun dried tomatoes , the mushrooms were very sour way too much balsamic vinegar and not the best combination with the sun dried tomatoes , this was an absolute disgrace for $38! I ordered the sweet pea risotto which I did enjoy , but just could not believe how small the portion was for $38, personally I would be embarrassed to bring it out .More

A business lunch for 3 and view, ambiance and service could not be faulted. Food was good but serves are very small and prices high for what is delivered. A single average fillet of snapper and nothing else on the plate was $49. By the...times sides are added prices are in to the $60-70 range per person. If you can afford to splurge financially it is good. If you expect value then forget it.More
