Looking out to the Swan River inlet in East Perth, Toast is the perfect location to chill - solo or with friends. Great coffee and friendly service.

Good coffee, poor hygiene, zilch awareness of customer expectations Poor hygiene? Waiter coughing openly behind counter, with no attempt to cover. Zilch awareness of customer expectations?Between staff while serving, within earshot of customers-swearing, open discussion of partying etc. Perhaps some points for owner/ management to...work on...More

This pleasant cafe overlooking Claisebrook Cove is a great place to have a nice coffee and a bite to eat. The menu should suit all tastes and is reasonably priced. Friendly, efficient staff add to the experience. We were staying at the nearby Sebel and...gravitated here a number of times after a good first impression. Would be more than happy to return.More

Was one of our favourite go to when walking around the river or to take visitors from out of town. I don’t think much needs to be said, photos says it all! Burnt not one but all meals?!

The staff member who delivered our food, did not notice that the mushrooms (side) with scambled eggs had been fried to the point of being coals. In my friend 's case the cindered mushrooms had been included in the crepe, which was delicious. No one...asked us about our meal and when the same person picked up the plates she said if we weren't happy, we should have said something. Probably this is true. I have written this review because I believe her comments were unnecessarily aggressive. After all the chef should have known s/he had wrecked the produce. We have been several times to Toast and I would say this experience was atypical.More

It was packed so we were unable to sit outside in the lovely sunshine along the claisebrook cove but breakfast made up for that. Even through it was busy we didn't have to wait long for our breakfast to be served. We had nutella crepes...which where smothered in nutella and put huge smiles on my daughters face. Hubby and I had eggs benedict with salmon and eggs benedict with bacon. Both serves were very generous with two eggs and two pieces of toast. The coffee was the best and we asked the waitress to tell the barista. It's a shame we don't live closer to come here more regularly.More

Really lovely meal but seriously, share. French toast was 2 big slabs plus a mountain of mascarpone and strawberries. I added bacon, and it was worth the extra but it’s definitely more than a single persons sizing. Go, share, enjoy! Good coffee! Nice staff!

Unfortunately, it was such a shame that this cafe is located in a prime location, let down by the length it took for the food to arrive and also the food itself not of quality standard. Staff were helpful, however, not sure why they took...so long for a simple vege omelette and hummus dhukka on Toasted bread, yet there were only about two patrons before us and not very busy at the time. May not be a reflection on the cafe but waiting and not being told why makes for bad service.More

A Good location next to the Sebel so an well placed choice for breakfast, and a really nice range of fresh and tasty food. Good service too.

The first time we visited we waited 25 mins for our coffee and the second was even worse -30 mins. We had eaten our cooked breakfast and were still waiting for coffee when one arrived and after another 5 mins the other arrived. Other coffees...were made in between. The brekkie was good and so was the coffee when it finally arrived. The cafe was not full either time the staff are just very slow and not enough of them.More
