Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The waterside location is lovely with twinkling lights across the river. However the pasta was over cooked, the wedges reheated, the bread came with butter in a lake of olive oil, the dessert disgusting and the prices high. The servings are very large but the...food was poor. Service was friendly and great as there was hardly anyone else there. Disappointed.More

This restaurant scams clients who cancel. They insist on credit card details with your booking. Should you try to contact them to cancel they immediately bill $20 per person. They do not answer the phone, so they get your message and activate the credit card...debit before you can speak with them. They tell you they have had to roster staff and so must still pay wages.More

My husband and I had been in two minds about going to Armano as some of the reviews have been mixed. This week we decided to go to Armano for lunch - well.....WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. Our experience was fabulous. We were greeted by the...delightful Sophia who sat us on the outside deck (cafe blinds were down) with the heater and fans on. It was lovely and toasty with an amazing view down the river. As we were being seated Sophia spotted two dolphins in the water. My husband and I didn't speak to each other for the first 30 minutes as we were too busy watching these graceful mammals. All I can say is..........THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!! I started with the Wagyu Tataki followed by an entree size of the Octopus with a side of the Lettuce Salad. I was in heaven. My husband started with the Bon Bon Duck followed by the Kangaroo Gnocchi and he was as impressed as I was. Our food was washed down with the Pikes Riesling. After lovely conversation with both Sophia (her Sicilian accent is charming) and Manu we decided to share the Baked Cheesecake which was superb........probably the highlight for me however it was hard to choose a favourite as every dish was delicious. We were at the restaurant for just over 2 1/2 hours and the dolphins (pelicans and shags) joined us for most of that time.....it was just magic. It was the perfect way to spend a lunch together. I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try. We have already told many friends of our experience and we will be returning sooner than later. Thank you Sophia and Manu for a wonderful time.More

One of Perth’s best restaurants but often overlooked because it is surrounded by tourist focused places. I’ve been several times, often taking work colleagues, and never disappointed. Last meal may have been the best. The fried tofu and charcoal avocado starter was great, not at...all greasy, great tofu and nice vegetables, particularly for a starter. The highlight, though, was my kingfish, incredible flavor and a perfect piece of fish. Also great views of the SwannRiver. Highly recommended.More

We had a lovely meal at Amano's made even better by the great view of the river & sunset from the pleasant outside seating area. The staff were all very welcoming, pleasant & efficient & there was also a lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed the...seafood fettuccine and the kangaroo gnocchi. The chef is from Italy and you can tell! We would happily return on our next visit to Perth.More

Excellent location and our table was on the verandah overlooking the water. Wait staff were very pleasant. I'd ordered the eggplant for starter and told that this had been substituted for a cabbage dish, which I decided to try but the actual cabbage lacked any...flavour but the sauce was on top of the dish was nice but hadn't gone through to the rest of the vegetable. The oysters at $6 each were disappointingly small with my husband commenting that one should not have have been served at all. He faired better with the main course of seafood fettuccini, sadly, my pork belly was quite tough. The Pistachio brioche was good however after mistakenly bringing me cheese cake instead of the cheese platter I tried to cancel the latter as my husband had almost finished his dessert to be told they couldn't do that as the chef had already made it. That too didn't quite meet expectations was with bite size pieces of cheese one of which looked and tasted quite dry and the blue cheese giving a strange after taste. It may have been an off day for the kitchen - it's certainly a great locationMore

Straight off a flight and checked into a nearby hotel now we were hungry! We had been to the location of Adamo on a previous visit to Perth when it was a different restaurant. We were warmly greeted and offered a table inside or outside...over looking the Swan. The location and candles made it a very romantic experience not that all diners were looking for that kind of dinner. The cocktails, food and wine were all very good. I had the lamb special and my friend had angel hair pasta with lobster and chilli. We were not disappointed.More

This restaurant is one of the best we have ever dined at. The tastes, textures and flavours of the food were second to none. The customer service was excellent and the owner was passionate that we had a good experience and enjoyed the best of...Italian dishes with wonderful, fresh Aussie produce. It is such a wonderful dining experience that though we are now back in the UK we are giving our travelling daughter and her friend the money to go and eat here when they are backpacking in Perth.More

The restaurant is the older part of the pier area of Bars and restaurants but still presents and delivers a spectacular waterfront location. Unfortunately that is where the compliments endit ended, and whilst the staff were friendly the menu is lacking and the food very...bland. Not sure I would recommend or return.More

Called restaurant as we could not book online past 7.30pm (on a week night). was told to book for 7.30pm and put a note to say we were going to be there at 8pm. One party was getting late off work so had to be...this late. We turned up and was told we had to order food by 8.30 as kitchen was closing. Can understand this as kitchen has lots to do after closing but would have liked to have been told this information when we called. Food was good. We had the pork belly, lamb and the fish. Had a couple of side dishes too but cannot remember what except for the chips.More

Amazing service, amazing food prepared by wonderful Italian chef! Sofia provided amazing service by also giving us her food recommendations. The seafood dish I had was fresh, flavorsome and complemented perfectly by well balanced spicy sauce. Desert was a type of choc pudding but this...doesn’t do the dish any favors as it was twice as good as any chocolate pudding I have ever tasted. Loved everything about the place. A big thumbs up from my partner and I!More

I would say put the dress code as smart casual. This is Perth afterall there will always be someone on the far more casual and someone in the other end.
