Enjoyed breakfast a few times while visiting Broome. Every time the cafe was full so service was a little slow but the mango smoothies and coffee were worth the wait. Great homemade muffins and smashed avocado. Can sit inside or out. Can be noisy inside.

So I decided to head out for breakfast this morning in Broome.
Dragon Fly Cafe was open while the other local cafes were still asleep.
I entered and was served straight away.
I ordered a “Garden Patch” (to which I added Halloumi), and a large flat white ($29.00 total)
The breakfast was by far the best breakfast I’ve had in Broome, I can’t believe it took so long to eat here. The coffee (KABOOM!) Awesome!..
I can’t fault a single thing, just awesome..

We had to wait for some time as they were very busy. They should have a better system with the table numbers because the staff were obviously stressed trying to find out what tables the meals were for. Maybe problems in the kitchen as you could tell that were stressed out. Food was worth the wait and menu had excellent choices

Why is this place popular?
Ordered the squid taragoshi, came ith packet crinkle cut chips, soggy and extremely oily crumbed undercooked squid. My guess is that the frozen chips made thevoil too cool to fry the squid properly. Pity I’d paid upfront because I wouldn’t have otherwise. Absolutely terrible.

Small seating area inside, with outside seating on verandah available. Pay before you eat, service was good and the meal divine. I was a little dubious on my choice but it was and portion size just right. I had the chicken, avocado and mango salad and to drink Truely Northern juice freshly made, orange, strawberry & ginger some of the ingredients. Recommended.

Best coffee in the whole if WA, I know because I am a coffee addict! The breakfasts were also beautiful,I had eat pray love a vege bowl with fried haloumi and soft poached eggs my husband had full cooked breakfast. Beautiful food and big portions. The staff are super friendly and welcoming even though they are busy. The wait was not long. Highly recommend.

We stopped off at the Dragonfly Cafe a few times during the nine days we were in Broome. It was a great place to grab a coffee or a milkshake before we headed off to Paspaley Plaza or down Johnny Chi Lane to grab some shopping or just to browse. Staff are friendly and courteous and there is usually a table available.

Excellent variety of food and great quality to match.
It’s never cheap eating out for brunch, but the Dragonfly provided excellent food quality with fast service.
I would definitely recommend most dishes as we ate there multiple times!

We visited the DragonFly Cafe on 3 separate occasions just to have the mango smoothie. This was definately the best mango smoothie that I have every had and would recommend this to everyone. It was so fresh and you could tell they used alot of mango in the smoothie.

There is a small area inside the restaurant the seating and decor very basic but cooler inside than the verandah. You would think in Broome average temperature 38 degrees and the money this cafe is making as it is just one of only a couple in town they could extend to make more of it to be enclosed and cooler. Had the squid tried a piece the coating was very nice but the squid itself was very raw so couldn't eat it. Husband and I ordered the one meal to share with two sides. When the young waitress put the meals down my husband didn't realise she gave us two plates and politely said to her can we please have another plate and at the same moment realised there were two plates and said sorry and she pulled a horrible face at him and walked away.

I only got a takeaway cuppa, but it was delicious and delivered as promptly as possible considering the massive loads of people that were there. It seemed a popular spot and from the glance I had a the menu things looked tasty. Specially the pastries at the counter. Great place to have brunch or for take always. It’s also located in the middle of town so you can’t miss it!

Nice food & good service at The Dragonfly Restaurant in Broome.
Had eggs Benedict, was delicious & orange juice & a coffee which was also good.
Beware they close up from lunch at 2.30 Open up later at 4pm in the day. Not sure why all day breakfast lunches have not yet arrived in Broome. It was hard to find anywhere for lunch this day as it was nearing 2pm! Nice & clean & outdoor sitting on verandah available as a choice to inside.

My partner and I went for breakfast and got the Broome meal. When the food arrived, our eggs were over cooked, hashbrowns looked like they had been cooking for 20 minutes. Bacon was so crispy it felt like we were eating cardboard. The sausages were ok, but even they were over cooked, they were dry. The only thing that we truly enjoyed was the atmosphere and our drinks. If we were to return, it would be just to have a drink. For the price we paid, we are extremely disappointed, after all the good reviews about this place.

A very popular cafe with mostly outdoor table settings. Sells the usual Australian range of breakfast fish and good coffee. The bacon was cooked well but not burnt. The poached eggs were too runny, the whites not fully set. The service was happy and prompt. The cafe is well located to enjoy the specialist shops nearby.

Very busy but efficient cafe! Enjoyed a lovely breakfast here. Eggs Benedict was yummy! Mango smoothly was great although runs second place to the one from the Indonesian van at Thursday night markets!!! Friendly service. Watching the staff all working behind the counter was like watching a well oiled machine, so busy but doing a great job. Coffee was excellent!
