Welcome to Ginreab Thai! I'm Air, the owner manager and I'm excited to guide you through an authentic Thai culinary experience filled with delicious flavours. Whether you choose to dine in with us in our cozy A/C indoor space or enjoy the breeze in our alfresco area, or opt for take-away or home delivery, we've got you covered. Our recipes come straight from my hometown of Phrae in Northern Thailand, passed down to me from my family, and prepared by our talented Thai Chefs/Cooks. Our friendly wait staff are here to ensure you have a delightful dining experience amidst our clean and vibrant decor. Just finished a wonderful evening dinner at the Ginrea Thai restaurant in Broome. My wife & I were very impressed with the size & selection of the menu. The staff were excellent and helpful. It is a BYO alcohol venue where a $2 per head corkage fee is charged.
It is not a large place but caters to couples and groups.
We love all Asian food and especially Thai. This place is a must go to venue. Prices are very reasonable, the serves a good size and the flavours and the cooking aroma are sensational.
Well done to all involved. We will be back.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend but we didn't have a car so we got dinner delivered to our apartment in Cable Beach. Ordering directly with the restaurant was easy and was delivered in around 1 hour. The food was delicious - we had curry puffs, red curry and the standout was pork belly in chilli jam. Only downside was the quantity of rice - we ordered a large ($6?) hoping to have leftovers as we had 2 mains, but felt it was only just sufficient for 2 of us.

We ate here twice on this visit to Broome, as last time we where here it was fantastic.
I have eaten worldwide and this food truly delivers authentic Thai food. The restaurant is not large so i recommend booking. They do ask on order for mild, medium or hot, which is helpful as everyone has different palates. I can highly recommend the Barramundi in red curry sauce. It was absolutely delicious.All the vegies where so crisp, Servings are a good size and so fresh, that's why you have to wait a bit.The service was efficient as they are very busy

Reviews were good but oh my, they were too busy! The place was lovely and the meal started off well. However, the thigh chicken was PRE-COOKED which I could tell as soon as I ate one piece. I called the waitress and asked her, who seemed a little shy to commit. I have never been to a Thai restaurant anywhere and been given pre-cooked chicken. One of the chefs (lady) came and spoke to me and offered me a chicken breast meal, which of course I didn't as had just eaten most of the meal apart from a lot of the chicken. She said they do it that way for speed. Chicken thigh cut thinly does not take long at all. I use it a lot in Thai cooking at home. They just had too many takeaways to manage as well as a full (20 max) in the restaurant area. Apart from that the overall experience was OK. Not sure, I'd go again, but hey, in holiday places, that's whom they cater for, once-off visitors.

In response to your query re the chicken, as was explained to you by myself (Air), cooking 20kg of chicken a night requires a very different approach to cooking 1 meal at home, in particular wok cooking of approx. 2 minutes per dish, as the chicken would be uncooked in the middle. This is why we, and you will find most restaurants are the same, ‘twice cook’ the chicken.
We trust that you can understand that our business is going through a super busy period due in part to our popularity but mainly the COVID created mini-boom of travelers from the south of WA flocking here (not complaining however has been difficult for a small restaurant like ours to cope with such an influx of orders).
We hope you will give us another opportunity to impress you when you are next in Broome.

The food was all fresh, fragrant and delicious. We ordered the Thai fish cakes, special fried rice with prawns and pineapple (amazing), pad Thai and crispy pork belly. We could not fault any of the dishes all tasting authentic and transporting us back to Thailand. I highly recommend to book a table as it is a small restaurant that gets very busy, always a good sign.

What a lovely Thai stir-fry with Coconut Rice, I asked for Chilli level “hot” and loved it. The cafe is small and you should book. As they obviously cook things freshly in the wok, you may have a short wait, but totally worth it.

Went at 5pm on opening for a table after being on the road for months and craving thai. Advised quite rudely by a western gentleman they were fully booked and in no way shape or form could they fit 2 people in for a quick meal. Didn't like his attitude. Was interesting to see when we walked back past at 620pm after having a good meal at the Vietnamese place that there was 9 free table. 9! None looked used. Just a shame really as I am sure the food would have been great but the attitude of the staff was poor

Michelle, we had several good reasons to turn you away at that time, however you made it obvious after 3 attempts to change my mind that you were not willing to accept any good reasons or to take no for an answer.
I as the Owner/Manager (and the "western gentleman" you referred to) made that call, not the staff, so I take the full responsibility ... do not put any blame on my staff.
I hope this unfair 1 star rating, when you did not even dine at the restaurant, has given you the satisfaction of vengeance you were quite obviously intending.

We visited several restaurants during our stay in Broome however the only one we would visit again is Ginreab Thai in Carnarvon Street where we were served the most amazing AUTHENTIC, exceptional food which not only was aesthetically presented but was absolutely delicious and so full of flavour. This is based on extensive travels over many years and our passion for excellent food. Would highly recommend and if you don’t go you will miss out on something very special.

We had a really nice meal here. The food is excellent. If you are dining in, I would suggest requesting to sit outside as it is quite noisy inside. It's a small place and had lots of people picking up take away, so created a lot of noise in a small environment. But other than that would really recommend it.

Thank you for your review and great feedback Louisa. Yes we agree the acoustics aren't the best when the 'action' is on. Although some people do love that kind of atmosphere, it is fair to say that the outside dining has been really popular since our Alfresco are was completed a couple of months ago. We have deliberately kept the number of tables inside to the same as during the 2m2/person restrictions to make it as comfortable for diners as we possibly can.

Extremely busy, would have taken extra half hour to deliver. So we picked up. In Asian restaurants in Perth, anything over $50 gets you a packet of free prawn crackers! In GinReab, we spent $175 & got nothing! But food was very good.

Broome is a small town with Ginreab Thai restaurants very big heart.
Amazing service by staff lead onto the most amazing Thai food this side of Thailand.
We made a booking three days in advance and welcomed to a very intimate setting .
We ordered starters and mains to find out everything was made fresh with love and affection being shown by the head chef.
So impressed with our food and service we had to book a second night for our last evening in Broome.
Martin, his wife and small have certainly created this small business and opened their hearts to the people of Broome.

we had takeaway twice and dined in once during our recent trip to Broome. this place converted my wife to Thai food as she previously always thought Thai food was too spicy. had VERY long waits for takeaways as it was super busy all the time. as everything was super busy in Broome you need to order well in advance for takeaway or book to dine in - worth it though

This was a lovely place to get food, as long as you don’t mind the 45 minute wait - they do deliver so maybe order early. The Thai green curry was good, nice and spicy, I also tried the pad Thai which was filling and a good size for 2 people. A little on the pricey side but was peak season and very busy, would definitely eat there again.

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner here. We were lucky to get an early seat without a booking as many diners were turned away after we were seated.
The food was nice and good value for Broome - similar to Perth prices.
Service was friendly and all-in-all a nice evening meal.

Friendly professional staff,open clean seating options,visible kitchen which is always a great sign!spring rolls were fresh and crunchy with homemade sauces,thin glass noodle stir fry with Asian greens and vegetables was fresh and delicious and authentic,also beautifully garnished! Nice vegetarian options available at reasonable prices.
Nice cold drinks available and great news that it’s BYO .
Plenty of parking and easy to get to on the local bus .
I have eaten there several times on my visit to Broome and will recommend it for lunch (a few days a week) or dinner.
