We went squires loft this evening, and if you're after a good stake then just go the Angus eye fillet was superb, I would have given this restaurant and excellent as the food and service was brilliant but what scored it down was the noise.

This place is amazing and always has been but they just keep on impressing. Lunch special now $25 for an amazing menu with a beverage and the quality is brilliant! Just do it cause it's fabulous!

When we want a good steak (which is fairly often) we head straight for here. The beef is always beautiful and cooked to medium-rare perfection. Also has an interesting wine list with some little-known delicious offerings. The restaurant is small with a casual and nice ambiance, so suggest booking to ensure a table.

We had a most pleasant gentlemens lunch here in mid December. The steak was excellent as usual and the service and wine list very good. Almost five star!

Heard good things so went with a work colleague. I had the 200g eye fillet with feta mushrooms as a side. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare), very tender and with a slight smokey taste and came with chips (you could choose a potato as well) The mushrooms were very tasty. Definitely will be coming back. Service. 4/5 Atmosphere.... More

We recently enjoyed a superb dinner @ Squires Loft on a Saturday evening for 6 Adults & 2Children. The good was wonderful, with our steaks large & succulent. Salads were great & my Baked Potato with added butter was delicious. My partner had Tiger Prawns & her empty plate @ the end was testimony to her enjoying her Neal. Service was... More

This busy 'steak house' provided a good menu and wine list. The steak got a big tick ( great that you can order in 2 sizes) , but lamb was undercooked and not good quality. If lamb is to be served rare then wait staff need to advise and check with patron how they want it as they do with... More

Visited this restaurant twice now as had to come back for more porterhouse steak! From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, the service couldn't have been better. Such friendly and helpful staff. The wine was also lovely as was the atmosphere within the restaurant. Will be back again :)

Description
The first Squires Loft was opened in 1992 in Church Street Brighton. Our reputation for consistently delivering great steaks and unique flavours led us to a larger store in South Yarra where we are still located today. The success of the Squires Loft formula and demand for Squires Loft branded products led to substantial interest from staff, customers and business owners who wanted to duplicate the business. This has resulted in 15 steakhouse restaurants operating around Australia. These steakhouses are located around Melbourne, Country Victoria, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Western Australia. Further steakhouses are in the pipeline and there is significant interest, which we believe should lead to more Squires Loft steakhouses opening. As a result of this demand and significant recognition of the Squires Loft name, Squires Loft FRANCHISE Pty Ltd has been formed to enable the expansion of the brand.

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
