This was our first time to Geppetto Trattoria. The welcome was friendly and professional. Reading the menu, we were excited with the selections. Although not an extensive menu, there is enough variety to please all tastes. We had grilled sardines and crumbed sardine for entree...and whole flounder and goat ragu with grilled polenta for our main-absolutely delizioso! Dessert we share a homemade Baccio Gelato. Refreshing and not too sweet. We liked that it is BYO ($15 corkage reasonable) Wait staff friendly and efficient, happy to have a chat without being intrusive , and still attentive to the other patrons. We enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. The homemade ravioli was exceptional, perfectly cooked. The service was fabulous and we were made to feel very special. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back on our next visit.

Such a lovely dinner! Geppetto is a very intimate restaurant that matches a heartwarming atmosphere with delicious food. The staff is attentive, friendly and professional, the food was delicious and carefully presented. A place to experience the Italian culinary tradition in all its aspects. Wide...choice of Italian and Australian wines and tasty vegetarian options! Best Italian restaurant in Melbourne by far! The food and staff are amazing and the atmosphere is so lovely. Can highly recommend- you won’t be disappointed!

Found this place by accident, but was so glad we did, the food was amazing and the staff very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and would recommend the Spaghetti Alla Pescatora.

Have been going to Geppetto’s for years and have been happy with just about everything. The constant exception is the noise level. It’s not cost prohibitive to install some noise reduction panels on the solid walls. Some Clark Rubber foam under the tables and chairs...also helps. Il Forno in Hampton did that years ago and made a huge difference to noise level. If customers are important please consider adding noise reduction to make the dining experience much better. 😊More

Excellent vegetarian dinner. highly recommend the roasted capsicum, filled with risotto, mozzarella and a Napoli sauce. The downstairs area is very cosy. the waiting staff attentive.

We first visited ahead of a Rod Laver concert December 2022 and were delighted, and this time prior to a Saturday night AFL game, as an early dinner and part of a city stay. The food and service is simply wonderful, the restaurant is quaint...and old school, well priced and will not disappoint! Highly recommended!More

My husband & I dined at this lovely resturant last night for the first time, before the Michael Buble concert. As soon as we walked inside the door, we were greeted with a friendly hello & how are you, by a cheerful waiter & taken...to our table. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, quite busy for the early session & was loud at times, but that's ok, footy supporters getting ready for the game. We were served very quickly, our waiter answered all questions we had & then our drinks & food came soon after. Our entree & meals were absolutely beautiful, leaving us very full. We will certainly be back for another meal in the future, so thank for a wonderful experience at Geppetto Trattoria.❤More

I was part of a group of 11 hungry Canadians that stopped by Geppetto Trattoria, on Wellington Parade, in Melbourne, last evening (without a reservation) hoping we could be accommodated for our evening meal. We were all quickly seated (2 separate tables), and everyone left...happily sated with the wonderful service and absolutely delicious food and drinks.
