Gorgeous layout, super friendly staff and very well priced. Pizza servings were big and coffee was excellent. Hot donuts were a hit with kids

There is something warm and comforting to return to Ca De Vin It’s a candlelit laneways restaurant in the centre of the Melbourne CBD that travels you back your last Italian holiday . Crispy thin pizza , friendly service makes this the easiest and most...fun place in Melbourne .. Keep up the great work guys .More

We only discovered this lane way and restaurant last weekend, so we dropped in last night for a bite to eat. Amazing! A friendly and informative waitress, superb food and great atmosphere. We will be definitely be back.

Really relaxed, informal place to eat and drink good food and beers. Friendly service, and good prices. Somewhat different to normal location outside, and in between 2 large buildings. Gives it a good personality. Great food and good quality beers served.

This was our second visit to this restaurant and it was still a wonderful spot for dinner. Located in a laneway between two larger buildings it is a very narrow restaurant and even though you are undercover it gives the feeling that you are still...outdoors. The service was quick and professional. We had beef tortellini with wild mushrooms and a special risotto of the day made with zucchini, peas and parmesan complemented with a Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. Prices were reasonable for Melbourne and we loved the ambience.More

Ca du Vin is situated in a narrow laneway with casual furniture and decor that preserve the old-time feel of the historic post office wall it abuts. It is delightful to sit under an awning while still being in the open fresh air -- today...was a hot day but we were perfectly comfortable in the shade. The service was good, though the music was too loud. The food was surprisingly average. The mussels were fine but the broth wasn't the yummy kind that you appreciatively soak up with bread. The pumpkin-rocket pizza was okay but not world-beating -- lots of olive oil, very little cheese, just the barest sprinkle of pumpkin (which was too bad since the pumpkin was delicious). In sum, lots of points for atmosphere, not so many for the food.More

A great reasonably priced eatery on Postal Lane in Melbourne. We had the steamed papillon Baramundi and the Salsicita pizza. The food was great and the staff were excellent, friendly and kept a good watch on what you needed.

One of the best Italian food restaurants in Melbourne city. They are in a middle of a cross road. That is Melbourne style. Real Italian taste. The service girls are excellent and customer oriented. They helped to select our food and drinks. Their prices are...middle range but value for money.More

We were attracted to this restaurant due to its location on a narrow lane and the choices available on the menu. We had the paella for two and we both enjoyed it. There is a good choice of wines. Service was good but no more...than that.More
