I had such a memorable birthday lunch.. each course accompanied by nice wine, and the wonder of flavours abounded. Only disappointed with one dish, Rice and Flesh (rissoto and kangaroo).. but everything else was great. Excellent.
Excellent special treat dining. I had a birthday party there (just my beautiful wife and me). Wonderful attentive staff, great food and beautiful room with view over the river. They recently were reported as having underpaid staff - bad!! They discovered the error and have...been paying correct wages for months now - so?? Staff were not unhappy so seemed OK. Overall, a big recommendation. WARNING - get very clear on direction before going, we wandered the Crown complex for some time before finally tracking it down.More
Mysterious dark tunnel leads to an impressive spacious restaurant with breathtaking views of downtown Melbourne. Immaculately dressed and equally well trained staff awaits and attends to clients. There is an aura of ‘class’ everywhere. From choice and creations of dishes to selection of wines and...hand made, by your table, ice cream. Just one of typical Heston’s traits.
Pointless describing the food. One has to experience it.More
Came here for sunday lunch just before I fly back to Sydney. Attentive, professional services by the staff were just as much a highlight as the unbelievably delicious food and wine. A must for any lovers of food!
From the grand entrance to the talented barmen and wait staff. We chose the Degustation menu and the food was divine and exquisitly presented with the history given of the century(s) old dishes and why it was chosen. We left feeling well eaten and spoilt....Yes it cost a lot but we feel it was worth it. However would have topped it off if we were seated by the window overlooking the Yarra River.More
Delightful evening having dinner by the river.
Fantastic food served by lovely staff.
Very friendly staff with great knowledge of the wine and food.
Extremely expensive $40 per small glass of champagne .
Took my son for his 18th birthday lunch, as a surprise. He was ecstatic. The food did not disappoint, it was everything that we had hoped for. The service was so good as well. The whole experience was well worth it. They also acknowledged his...birthday with an individual after meal chocolate and a birthday message. One very happy teen.More
