The restaurant looks really good and the atmosphere is really romantic. We got the specials of the night and the food was outstanding. Best pastas and fresh fish in Melbourne. Staff really kind and helpful, they helped us to get the most appropriate wine for...the food we were going to have. I asked the staff to take some pictures of the food and they let me without any issues.More

Food was good but the service was terrible and so very rude! The front of house was a total disgrace and really let the restaurant down. I would carefully consider who you employ if I were you!

I feel that this restaurant has improved since my last visit a few years back, although it was good then. The menu seems broader and the service is very good; we had an excellent waiter. I had a great cannelloni, with a rocket salad. Everything...tasted very fresh. We sat outside, although we had booked an inside table, as inside there was an overpowering fish smell. So maybe they need to look at their ventilation. I liked that blankets were provided for outdoor diners (as well as heaters). This is rarely seen in Australia. It seems odd that most reviewers of this restaurant have posted very few other reviews. One doesn't normally see this. But, I have posted hundreds of Trip Advisor reviews so this one is definitely legitimate! It is definitely a restaurant I would recommend.More

I booked a table for my partner's 30th Birthday - it was a very hectic dinner to organise as we had issues with restrictions and guests - the whole team was so kind and details of my booking 3 or 4 times. It was so...difficult to organise but there were amazing ! The place looked beautiful! Open kitchen, clean and tidy, chefs in their best uniforms and the atmosphere of the place was just fantastic! Cosy & chic would be the perfect description. We had nice "aperetivo" to start with and the grazing platter to share with our friends. Partner is Italian, and trust me, he knows his prosciutto. Everything was looking amazing and the taste was authentic to the ones he eats back home. Charcuterie, bread, butter... I mean, what else ? Then, the mains were just delightful! We all had different kind of pastas and each of us found them absolutely delicious. It was tasty, well presented, perfectly seasoned and had plenty enough to get our bellies full. Unfortunately we couldn't eat any dessert as we were already full but, my partner and I can't wait to go back for their Tiramisu! We were so happy to have Da Guido's team helping us because the servers knew everything about the menus. They were amazing at recommandations for the wine, and digestives. Everybody was happy, helpful, attentive, and we had the greatest time. I am so-so glad I picked Da Guido La Pasta for his special day, because they made it memorable. Big thank you to all of you, I couldn't recommend your place more than this. You were simply fantastico ! SophieMore

I've dined at some lovely Italian restaurants all over the world, but this is probably the best ever. The food is delicious, the service is very Italian and the overall experience was divine. If you're in Melbourne, looking for some great Italian food, then please...you have to try here as you won't be disappointed. We loved it she much that we're planning another weekend in Melbourne just to dine here again.More

the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who
started their day with a local espresso. They are
gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this
Little Italy which has something for everyone.
