Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tiny restaurant in South Yarra, suburb just a few train or tram stops from Melbourne city centre. There is a public parking lot next door as well. Limited tables so reservations are recommended. Went for lunch with a group of 4 and basically shared all...dishes. Highlight was the lobster pasta (Aragosta), but all the other dishes we had were excellent. Highly recommended.More

Most of the dishes were no longer available. Main without carb had 2 choices, either fish or meat or the day which was porterhouse. Bottled red wine selection within 10 fingers. Not suitable for serious meeting but might be an intimate place for lovers.

Charming, tasteful, cosy restaurant in South Yarra with excellent light Italian food and good service. Great menu with many choices. Can't wait to go back, especially for the tiramisu and the beetroot.

This is a true "little gem." With only 18 covers, this cosy, homely Italian restaurant ticks many boxes. The staff are excellent - great attention to detail and they are Italian! We both had the slow cooked ragout - sensational. The past is great.

A beautiful little Italian boutique restaurant with delicious food, friendly unobtrusive service, a lovely ambience, great wine and choice of Italian beers and a very warm welcome! Simply the best Italian restaurant in Melbourne!

My Daughter organised a lunch catch-up with her and the son-in-law and we walked in and despite being small the ambiance was fantastic. We ordered and just enjoyed the food, wine (Pinot Grigio), and sensational service. I will be going back with my partner very...soon as I loved it. I suggest you book as the limited capacity and demand you may miss out. I recommend the scallops and calamari. Eating here reminded me of my last holiday in Venice.More

cucinetta is a very small resturaunt, so booking is essential. We always go to Cucinetta every time we are in Melbourne. Staff are always so helpful. My wife is in a wheelchair, and they help in every way possible. I always order their Caco de...Pepe, which on this occasion was not as good as in the past. The cheff has added truffle to the dish, which personally i do not like, But iverall a great resturaunt.More

I did not release how small this restaurant was when I booked... we were 2 tall people squished in a little table against the wall. It was raining so I'm not sure if there are usually tables outside on the footpath. Thats the only down...point. We really enjoyed the service by the young Italian staff, who were very attentive, and the pasta dishes we shared were delicious. Cute and atmospheric, but certainly not a place for a quiet or discreet dinner.More

We had their signature dish, a lobster linguine (amazing) and also their truffle ravioli (they don’t hold back on the truffle, it was well balanced). Seating was cozy, felt authentic and service was great. I would recommend this place for a great dinner and nice...evening out.More
