Was so looking forward to this iconic restaurant. The experience unfortunately didn’t meet expectations. The servings were decent sized enough but were generally tasteless. That at the time was fine as the thinking was that this was going to be on par with no names...More

Decided to try Pellegrinis because of its reputation as a must-do Melbourne experience. Having no menu is charming but then you also have no prices up front either. Whilst my fettuccine pasta was good, the watery bolognese sauce found me trying to find where the...More

This is the sort of place you have to visit - at least once. Yes, the decor hasn't changed in years but that is part of the charm. They serve good coffee and a decent selection of cakes and pastries. With Italian charm in spades,...More

We were going for hearty cheep and cheerful meal, but instead got an overpriced horrible bowl of pasta with watery tomato sauce, probably from a jar. Was very unhappy about this meal and no idea how this place has been open for so long!! Must...More

Popped in for coffee and cake, went with a lemon tart. Great coffee and the tart was delicious. Pasta coming out past us smelt amazing will have to go back to try. Service was good, friendly place.

We visited Pellegrinis at Easter. We had pasta and were not disappointed. The pasta was good Italian fare. We also had very good coffee. Prices are very good. Service was quick. Seating is at the bar like European cafes. We enjoyed lunch.

I always drop by Pellegrini’s when in Melbourne. It’s a little hidden gem on the top end of Bourke St. The Minestrone is the best I’ve ever had. They also serve up different types of pasta, Italian desserts and of course the best coffee, Vittoria...More

We came by here for lunch one day, and weren’t sure what to order as there isn’t a menu as such, but if you tell the staff what kind of thing you fancy, they can make suggestions. I had vegetarian ravioli with a cheese filling...More

The Ravioli was wonderful and we got to eat in the kitchen which was very special. I love Pellegrinis it has very special memories for my husband and I. The desserts are big portions and so yummy.

Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place
to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place
simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude

Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes

Most seating is at the bars, I am not sure they take bookings.

I do not believe bookings are available. Its a very fluid atmosphere. You walk in, are seated on the benches and stools. Just ask the staff what specials or what is good to eat that day and they will recommend.
