Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I almost never drink cocoa. Now I drank chili chocolate cocoa. Unbelievably good. Perfect flavor and the gentle heat of chili in the background.

You’ll never go back to Cadbury’s once you’ve experienced the delights of #kokoblack chocolate. I’m a savoury more than sweet gal, but when I do indulge on the sweet stuff, I go for the best I can find. Having recently bought a #fortheloveofkoko box for...a friend and was offered a taste, I’m hooked. This store is located on the corner of #flinderslane and #degravesstreet in Melbourne. Perfect location. The range and choices are extensive and there is something for everyone here, especially if giving as a gift. Thank you to staff member Lia who was so helpful and delightful. Look forward to exploring more of the #kokoblackrange in the future. #kokoblackchocolate #kokoblackmelbourne #kokoblackstore #kokoblackchocolates @kokoblackchocolate #bestchocolateMore

We stopped by unexpectedly for a little treat. The hot chocolate was delicious and we had truffles. My favourite was the Passion (Passion Fruit) one. But the Whisky one was also nice. Friendly service.

Terrible customer service! We were in this shop as part of a small group booking tasting chocolate and about to purchase when a female assistant TWICE rudely moved us over to the side because she wanted to serve customers that actually were not even ready....It was so obvious this woman was having a bad day and was taking it out on customers. Made our experience very disappointing.More

The decor was pleasant and you cannot beat the atmosphere of the Royal Arcade but the service was 'bland' and not as good as seen in some other Koko Black locations. The coffee and chocolate were very good as you would expect.

Friendly helpful staff at the Collins Street location. Picked a selection of delicious chocolates and a take away Latte. Chocolates are always amazing.

Right from the moment we entered the staff were very rude and condescending. We received the wrong order, they gave us dark chocolate when we specifically asked for milk chocolate as I am allergic, they dropped our fork on the ground. we asked to turn...the fan off as my friend was freezing and later that day she got a cold. I AM NOT HAPPY!!!More

Service today was appalling. Staff failed to bring our entire order. Once a premier location it appears new staff have no idea of service. Quality cups have been replaced by cheap restaurant services crockery. Give it a miss if you’ve been s past customer to...avoid disappointmentMore

Wow!! Something's changed?? We always love Koko black but today I had a Belgian hot chocolate that was way inferior to the normal one that we usually get there. So disappointed!! It tasted way too watery and like it had been made 1/2 strength!!? I'm...so sad as I loved going to Koko Black and so looked forward to it when I am visiting the city. Strangely, too, the service was very slow, given that there seemed to be plenty of staff.More

The best chocolaterie that we have found outside of Belgium and they’re better than most fine Belgian chocolates. We had a wide assortment and all were superbly crafted and each has many notes of flavor. My favorite was a creamy caramel ganache filled item but...I would sample the assortment again anytime.More

Got box of 36 chocolates form Vic Market and was missing one, which was really disappointing and cheapened the birthday present. I made an online complaint/feedback and got no response so did another a week later, then they asked where and when it was bought...and the batch number, which I provided and got no response again. I now absolutely do not trust and would never buy a box again unless i witnessed them packing it, but I don't time to stand in their long queues.More

The cafe menu is so unique and everything we tried (sampled quite a few items) was just fantastic! Our hotel concierge told us about it and it didn't disappoint! I only wished they shipped their chocolates to the states - or better yet, opened up...a location here! There are multiple locations in the city so be sure to go to one with the cafe (Collins Street being one of them)More
