I have dined twice this week at Nobu and have to say both experiences meh every expectation, from the greeting at reception a smiling welcoming face to the waitress or I should say waitresses attending to our dining experience I say congratulations to Nobu for the staff being attentive, smiling and informative on the menu as it dies take a little explanation on some of the dishes. The soft shell crab is fabulous together with the wagu tacos, Japanese fish and chips to the bento boxes, tempura vegetables, Japanese scallop it just goes on and every dish lived up to our expectations. Strongly recommend tbe Chocolate Fondant and ice cream, I was going to share but it was so good I kept it all for myself. The ambience of Nobu is simple but tastefully decorated, there is seating at a bar area and tbe stools have backs and are extremely comfortable, but both times this week we chose a dining table. The cost is not budget wise it is an experience and extremely enjoyable one. I have now eaten at Nobu four times in last two months and plan to return again in the next month or so. The experience with food and staff has been excellent on every occasion. Congratulations.

This was not the dining experience we were expecting. The service was terrible. We had the six course tasting option and found with the cold dishes that that they were forcing the next one on you and trying to take away the wine you were eating. I have never had that happen in this kind pic establishment before, usually the courses are far better paced. The staff were unhelpful, and often didn’t even introduce the dish (which was not on the menu, so you needed it to know what you were eating). The place was also really loud, and we were unable to have a conversation at the table. The food was not good enough to balance any of this out. No plans to return

Whatever you do get yourself to Nobu! Always heard great things and finally got the chance to see if all the hype was warranted. It was better than they said!! I had a beautiful lunch, Deluxe Bento Box, glass of the crisp stuff and finished with long black! Everything was on point.. The Black Cod with Miso Glaze alone was worth the price of admission.. soft shell crab was some of the best I’ve had and the beef strips on rice.. Kapow! Served in 2 half plates (1 hot, 1 cold), the 2nd platter is exactly what you’d expect - smashing sushi roles and nigiri, ceviche and fresh salmon.. all served super fresh and with a smile.. Treat yourself and get there!!

After planning a visit on several previous trips to Melbourne, I finally managed to pop in for lunch. Settled on the Nobu Deluxe Bento Box, and did not regret the choice. Each part of the box was prepared perfectly, with the only ’difficult’ part of the meal being to decide which section of the bento box to explore next! All the staff were fast, friendly and knowledgeable, with clear explanation of the box items, along with an information overview of the sake flight that I chose to accompany the meal. Can't wait to return.

I chose this place as they said they could accommodate gluten free options. It was a beautifully relaxed place, not pretentious at all. The décor is just lovely and i cant talk up the staff highly enough. They were all wearing masks and were all delightful. The waitress was very helpful with my gluten free sections. The food, was great. We ordered a number of different things from sushi to tacos. It was absolutely delicious. Yes its expensive but the taste was just divine. I also had a couple of cocktails which were a little expensive but again made very well and were delicious. The tables are a little close together in some spots but considering you don't wear masks whilst eating i don't really see it as much of an issue. It can be expensive as the portions are small to medium but honestly the quality makes up for it. I would definitely go here if you're into Japanese food. Again the staff were just lovely. I will return.

Great atmosphere with amazing food. Definitely try the Wagyu sushi it's well worth the price and unlike any piece of steak you've ever hard before. It's exactly like butter melting in your mouth. One of the best restaurants in Melbourne

Food was lovely, but unfortunately it was extremely slow and disappointing service. We each ordered a main meal and a veggie dish to share. My meal came out after a short wait but the next main meal came about 20 minutes later - despite following it up a few times in between - so we couldn’t eat together. Unfortunately had to cancel the shared dish as no sign of that at all. Love Nobu but this time our visit wasn’t enjoyable

Absolutely a great place for a business bento lunch. Prices at Nobu are of course absurd at dinner, but unlike other restaurants, the food has the predigree to match. Miso cod, sashimi, cold beer and a wonderful staff is really all I need to stay. I have never had a bad meal at Nobu and I have been to 6 around the world.

I’m having a staycation in Melbourne. I live in the city and 4 times in the last two weeks I have walked to Nobu to get a quick lunch - today I went again the restaurant was half empty. And again for the 4th time I was told it was full. WHY??? I spoke to a couple of other friends of mine also regular Nobu customers who said go back speak to the manager. I did, he said they didn’t have enough staff and can’t manage any other customers- 3 people were leaving as I arrived. The host was rude each time I arrived. This is NOT the way to build customer loyalty and maybe be courteous and explain to your customers why you are not letting them in to a half empty Restuarant without having to call the Manager! Appalling for a high end pricey Restuarant!

We have order two plates(shrimps and scallops with vegetables) and two glasses of wine. They brought the first plate (really just 3 small pieces of scallop), than we waited for more than 40 minutes for the second plate! For the wine was pretty the same, needed more than 20 minutes and discussions to taste the wine. The place is extremely noisy and the general impression is that is a big disorder...there are plenty of better options around.

We arruced on the Majestic Princess and was picked up by friends, and taken to the Crown Casino. Walking through malk the variety of shops was superb, and then into the Restaurant area, we pick a beautiful restayrant and the meal was well presented and delicious. Would highly recommend.

Good atmosphere, comfortable seating and well spaced out from other patrons. Staff were attentive but not over the top. They didn't seem to notice if you told them you didn't enjoy a dish. Another disappointment was that drink orders took 45 minutes before they arrived. Reasonably expensive but the food in general was tasty. We ordered the 7 course chef menu with the biggest disappointment being that the wagyu beef was chewy but tasty. I didn't enjoy the Yuzu and Blueberry Meringue Tart. Furthermore seaweed is not everybody's cup of tea. The prawn seaweed dish was ordinary at best and the prawns were under cooked Standout dishes were the sashimi, the quail, and their signature pan-fried cod dish. I would return but I would not order the Chefs menu again.

My husband and I were looking forward to a fine dining date at Nobu. We got there and were led to the lower basement dining area… so deflated as it looked like the Keysborough hotel or pokies gaming floor. The tables, chairs, booths are just tired and quite daggy… to describe it best as I can! Just completely lacking any styling at all. Tables so far spaced out, I felt like I was sitting in a hall. Staff were exceptional, well trained and practically ordered the perfect dinner for us to devour. Food was just beautiful and tasty, it made me forget where I was sitting! Drinks were great! I just think there is a huge gap between the food and lovely staff which are awesome and the actual space you are in?!?! I have dined at the other crown restaurants and they all tick every box. Perhaps the Nobu upstairs dining exudes that fine dining sophistication?! I just felt underwhelmed as a whole restaurant experience for a place that is apparently fine dining. I hope this review is helpful. I would love to go back for the food but feel like I should rock in with my walking clothes next time ;)

I took my wife to Nobu for her birthday several weeks ago. One this that put me off as soon as we walked in was the volume of the music. As it was so high, everyone had to speak loudly just to be heard by their dinner companions. For a restaurant that is meant to be fine dining Asian cuisine, I actually felt like I was at a night club. Far too loud to sit and have an enjoyable conversation. My wife and I hardly spoke as the noise was deafening and hearing each other was near impossible. However, I will admit that the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and cheerful. We ordered a variety of different dishes from the menu to try and the food delivery was efficient. We enjoyed teh food, but will not be going there due to the night club atmosphere.

We went here because the original restaurant we had booked cancelled because of an incident that occurred. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who quickly got us a seat. We had the lunch bento box. It was the best that I had ever tasted. I don’t normally eat fish, but the one we had in the bento box was sensational Would definitely recommend the lunch bento box We mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us a beautiful plate with 2 macaroons on it. Such a kind gesture
