Decided to treat myself on a recent trip to Melbourne. This place is not cheap but in my view it was worth every penny. The staff were friendly, informative and helpful. It can sometimes be uncomfortable as a solo dinner in such a restaurant but...More

Degustation started at 8.30pm didn’t get out until 12.45am. Big on theatre but unnecessary, they are pleasuring themselves and not me. I don’t want our table conversation to be interrupted to listen to the speech from the staff. Please note that the staff were very...More

Had the wonderful tasting menu, which was incredibly good. The octopus was the best I have ever had, melt in the mouth and perfectly grilled. There was a potato dish which was so Moorish and tasty, I could have jus had that. Small snacks like...More

Excellent service. No souvlaki or spanakopita here - this is true Greek fine dining. But I'd have like some retsina, even if it is a little low brow.

Lives up to expectations, staff go above and beyond, food is amazing, atmosphere just gorgeous. Only complaint is wanting some more cocktail options but thats about it!

During our trip to Aussie we had booked an evening at The Press Club. It did not disappoint but beware the degustation menu will fill you up. I lost count of the courses and found it hard to eat anything else. You will be well...More

Having throughly enjoyed previous visits to the old Press Club in the another part of the same building we were looking forward to this reincarnation in a smaller more intimate space. The food was quite good but not probably to the standard of the original...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

George Calombaris' flagship Melbourne restaurant for MAdE Establishment has cemented itself on the global dining scene with its unique Modern Greek cuisine. In October 2006, the four directors joined together to form MAdE Establishment, and opened their first venue, The Press Club Restaurant and Bar. This began a new era for George Calombaris and cemented his place as a culinary star for his Modern Greek Cuisine - never seen before Melbourne; where modern twists to traditional Greek cuisine has put this restaurant on the global map and has diner's wanting more. The Press Club seats 38 guests in individual booths. Next door to The Press Club at 52 Flinders Street, is Press Club - Projects, George Calombaris' creative and development kitchen. This space can be booked privately for up to 8 guests and offers a completely interactive experience as the chefs experiment with new dishes to make the menu in The Press Club.
