Dined here recently and must say we were a little disappointed. There was no wow factor. Food looked good, but taste was disappointing. Restaurant service was reasonable. Coffee undrinkable. Was even more disappointed in the way we were handled when having a quiet game of snooker after dinner. Having been told the bar closed at 11, was unable to purchase... More

The food was good overall, however if you have a medium to large appetite, you might wish for more. Seven shared courses were $65, an extra $10 for dessert, per person.. For the price we have had better meals. It is an easy option if you are staying at the hotel. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and professional.

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise. It has heaps of character and the front of house team do a fantastic job. The menu has plenty of variety and caters for appetites of all sizes. The kitchen did a fantastic job and the entire experience is well worth the effort of chasing down. For those staying in the cbd, the city... More

I like the taste of salt but the salad with my fish was overly salty. My heirloom tomato salad (which had no tomatoes) had a crusty dressing that was horrendously salty and inedible. The fish was quite nice and the restaurant has a lovely ambience.

We ate here before the Keith Urban concert, so we wanted something that we would receive rather fast. I have been to this hotel before, but only for drinks. It is nice quite place to dine and/or for drinks. The restaurant is small in comparison to a lot of others in Melbourne, but it has a god ambience to it.... More

Sometimes restaurants are created with a brand and vision that eventually fall flat, and perhaps Felt needs a 're-boot' with a something that fits the hotel better. While the food is tasty, it's all rather 'same-ee' with perhaps too much focus on a particular style that personally I don't like. The bread basket (no matter which you pick) will remove... More

We had a wonderful meal here,a quiet anniversary dinner. We chose this as it is one of the Accor hotel restaurants and my husband is a member. The service was a bit slow to start but when the food arrived it was very good. They also do a degustation menu which looked very good.A good hotel restaurant.

This was a nice hotel restaurant. The food was pleasant although the service was a bit erratic with not all meals arriving together. Staff were friendly and cheerful which always helps when the other stuff is not gelling.

Lovely spot for a coffee. Gorgeous little boutique hotel with some excellent eating and drinking spots. The coffee's not cheap at $4.50 but it is substantive and well made. Courteous professional service as well. Adds up to an impressive experience. I bet the hotel is excellent to stay in. Recommended.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
