Oh wow wow wow! I’m still dreaming of those barramundi mousse stuffed zucchini flowers. The most memorable dish I ate in Melbourne! Outstanding waiter. Best coleslaw ( recommendation by our waiter)

Suprised by a couple of reviews as we have eaten here many times. Its our favourite place for a quick meal pre or post theatre. Great menu recently updated. Great for sharing and smallplate eating. Definate asian fusion, but interesting dishes, great flavours. Good drinks...More

Interesting venue on the site of the refreshment area for city taxi drivers in years gone by. Asian fusion food in a lively environment at a not unreasonable price in this expensive city but it doesn't quite hit the spot. Menu was OK and service...More

First time visiting here! Not sure why I haven’t been here earlier. Just popped in for a quick drink, ended up with flatbread and dip and buying a bottle instead of a glass. The staff were really lovely, friendly, happy to help and great service....More

Excellent lunch with friends. Very relaxing and no fuss. The menu is very good with the starters a stand out particularly the pork and beef buns and parsnip cakes. The mains were excellent with the Szechuan duck and slow cooked lamb stand outs. The passion...More

Chose this restaurant for first restaurant in Melbourne because of decent reviews and views. Mistake! Don’t do it! There must be better restaurants than this one! Made a reservation and were seated at a table near window right up next to another couple. Not uncommon...More

We took some clients here on Thursday night and it was fantastic! The lamb shoulder being the biggest hit. Great views of the city, river and botanical gardens.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

For a 180 degree view of Melbourne's city skyline, Yarra River and Arts Precinct, journey to Taxi Kitchen in Federation Square's Transport Hotel. Hosting cocktail events, a la carte dining, pre-show drinks and boasting three private function dining rooms, Taxi Kitchen dazzles guests with views through floor to ceiling glass windows complemented by earthy tones, indoor greenery and natural light for a clean, semi-alfresco feel. Playful menu items provoke a certain inquisitiveness of guests, charmingly presented on a bed of black pebbles, rustic wooden boards or in colourful, textured dishes. Delight in any or all six courses from seared scallops with red radish, smoked chilli mayo and katiafi to Wagyu porterhouse with creamed potato and jus gras - just be sure to leave room for dessert
