Beautiful food, wines & beer. Everything we ordered was top notch. Can highly recommend the gnocchi which were light and tasty, arancini were delicious as was the fried chicken bao. The ginger & date pudding and chocolate lava cake were the perfect finale to a...great night.More

Interesting place, we attended a function there, the Acoustics were not fantastic, couldn’t hear ourselves think, walked out with a thumping headache. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food is a bit yuppy (I couldn’t find anything i wanted [yes I am a bit...fussy] nor could our teenage girls) and quite expensive $9 for a tiny bowl of chips, took forever to get the chips but they were fantastic as they should have been for the price. Probably wouldn’t return as its not my/ our thing.More

Had a Group Business Dinner in the upstairs area. Very well looked after. Nice spread and flow of share plates. Good Wine options and an extensive Beer Menu - both from the tap and bottle. Good Quest hotel next door. Certainly worth a visit. Friendly...staff.More

Fantastic little bar that looks very small upon entering but is surprisingly roomy! They do tapas and food in a very intimate setting. Definitely recommend.

After being seated by a charming barman at the back of the restaurant next to the toilets for an early dinner, once the food arrived I was left alone for 50mins till I got up to pay & leave. The only thing hot on the...very cold plate were the spuds. The meat must have been pre-cooked and placed on a fire enough to mark the flesh. the accompanying honey mustard was straight from the fridge and the carrots might have the saved the day but they too were less than warm on arrival. At least the craft beer was good.More

Delightful private room overlooking Wellington Parade. Set menu was disappointing. The food was lack lustre and not innovative. The antipasto board consisted of 3 cold cuts, pickles, olives and grilled bread. Patatas bravas were simply loaded chips! Sliders of pulled beef, sauerkraut on a brioche...bun did not hit the mark. Arancini balls were ordinary. The roasted cauliflower was tasty. Fried gnocchi was covered in indistinguishable ‘sauce’ and was lost. Best dish of the evening was the sticky date pudding!! The menu needs a major overhaul to bring it into line with its competitors.More

Spent two really enjoyable nights meeting for drinks & a meal after spotting this place from the tram. What a gem. Will definitely return. Such friendly, hospitable staff, super quick tasty food & really lovely atmosphere. Shows how hospitality should happen. Great wine list, an...intelligent menu, I hope this place does not get too popular. Loved the fact you could have a chat without blaring music in background.More

Lovely menu. Lots of choice and liked the share plates. Could also order own meal from a range of mains if that was your preference. Great service. Super friendly staff. Wine list was small but very well selected items. Would go here again. Worth finding...this place if you are looking for a relaxed evening.More

I have had dinner & lunch at The Tippler & enjoyed both immensely. Helpful, friendly staff, delicious food. The courtyard for lunch on Saturday was perfect.

Agree with slevin201. It looks that way with easy access from street but that's not to say it is for someone with a disability. I hope it works out.
