As the last of many, many, many artisan drinks, cocktails and great fare is served up for the last time @ our landmark home away from home on Collins St - we farewell the Euro/Melbourne ambience, the electricity and the heritage to make way for...More

Awesome atmosphere, great selection of wine - kinda feels like you've stepped back into prohibition times with their concealed cellar bar down the stairs. Beautiful wing-back chairs and friendly staff! Definitely worth a visit.

Went for a walk at lunch with a colleague and stopped here for coffee. Staff was annoyed that we only wanted coffee and hesitated to let us sit then said oh okay. Not a lot of people were there and the area is very small....More

Great service by barman, mixing up a nice Old Fashioned to suit my taste. This place does well on the drinks front. But the croquettes were as bland as anything and I'd only consider them worthwhile at $5, certainly not the near $20 charged for...More

You can drink scotch...but then you can be served scotch with an experience....the taste, the ride and the atmosphere. I prefer my scotch served with professionalism and topped with decorum. I'll keep going back...preferably secretly...downstairs. 😊

I have not had dinner here but been to the bar a few times. It's a nice cellar bar with a prohibition feel to it as you enter through a hidden door.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

I would doubt it, best to ask the venue, liquor laws probably restrict access to over 18 year olds.

Conveniently located on the New York end of Collins Street in a 1889 built landmark, (if only walls could talk!) State of Grace Melbourne offers a bustling restaurant on street level with a little European flavour. Prepare for a vivid assault to the senses then take a velvet seat for your morning coffee, lunch break, dinner feast or late night bites. Sneak through the back and open the secret entrance to a winding marble staircase. It's in Fall From Grace where the fun really begins. The hidden cellar bar is no stranger to a cocktail experiment or two...
