Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing, delicious sweet treats and French pastries at Noisette. We took the tram from Melbourne CBD to Port Melbourne and walked by the ocean until we reached Bay Street and found this great cafe. From Spencer Street Station to Port Melbourne was about 8 stops...on tram 109. We enjoyed a vanilla slice and a croissant along with coffee. If you enjoy walking it's worth then going on to the South Melbourne Markets (1.9km) or catching the tram there afterwards (open Wed - Sunday).More

To surprise my daughter who lives in Melbourne, I took a taxi to go to Noisette to buy baguettes and cakes. Baguettes was not really bad but have nothing to do with the genuine ines. They were soft but toasted they were fine. The pastries:...one chocolate and one passion fruit. We are pastries eater and we have been unable to finish them after 3 days. Chocolate was like concrete without any taste. Passion fruit pastries consistency was not good. All in all I will never come again. Nothing frenchMore

Early Saturday pit stop on Bay Street. Strong latte drunk down in their busy bright cafe bakery. Grabbed a sour dough fruit loaf for home. Enjoyed by family.

The service was good which is why we give a two. We had heard great things about the almond croissant. It was really not good. Tasted strange. Almost eggy or something and not enough filling. Very disappointed

Just went in this afternoon for the first time, guy behind the counter was so disinterested. I chose 3 cakes but when I changed my mind and wanted 4 the attitude when going to get a bigger box was incredible, even made a snide remark...to the girl on the coffee machine. Well you don't need my moneyMore

Had coffee and cake here while in the neighbourhood. Was very pleasantly surprised by the warmth and efficieny of the service, the quality of the cakes and coffee and by the super value pricing. Highly recommended

Thank you Noisette for friendly and great service. We had been craving for something savory and your wide range of baguettes were excellent. We finished these with a generous ice chocolate and coffee. We are locals and as always we were impressed by the place....We left feeling mighty content this matched our holiday feeling!More

We visit this establishment daily 7/7 for coffee. In the last 7 days, the previous excellent service and coffee have slipped below the previous very high standard. 6 days ago there was a bad experience which we put down to "Festive Fatigue". However today the...coffee and presentation were appaling. I dislike having to write unpleasant reviews but in my opinion, management must be advised of customer dissatisfaction so that an earned reputation is not lost.More

As you would expect a decent almond croissant. The coffee was OK. Good selection of food and service was fine, French wait staff adds to the atmosphere.
