I had breakfast at the Rescue after staying at the Adina and I have to say that I was seriously underwhelmed. After having the best breakfast of my life the previous week at Space Kitchen in Canberra I ordered the toasted granola with yogurt. It was terrible! I got a single spoonful of yogurt, some milk and a tiny portion... More

Fantastic breakfast and service. Partner found the menu online and we were attracted due to the gluten free options. :) Egg and bacon roll...yum

We are long standing, regular patrons of QSR as we stay at Adina when in Melbourne from interstate! Staff are always friendly and very helpful especially Shane who always makes us feel like long standing friends! As usual the food is delicious and the service great; we will return and we have always recommended QSR to friends and family.

We were staying upstairs in the Adina Apartments and ate here for breakfast. The menu was good and comprehensive, just a little limited on the Gluten Free options (you won't go hungry, my wife just had her heart set on the GF pancakes from the room menu but this was out of date and no longer available). Although we didn't... More

Recently had breakfast here while staying next door in the Adina Apartments. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was very nice and was served quickly. Would definitely recommend this place when you're next in Melbourne.

Stayed at Adina for a quick little 3 night break. Ate at QSR every day due to the amazing food, great location, perfect coffee and laid back atmosphere. We (husband and I) had dinner here once and breakfast twice. The eggs on toast were AMAZING and the Portuguese chicken.. omg!!! best meal I've had in a long long time!

We came here to get breakfast before going out, and we where not welcomed into the cafe. We then proceded to get our own menus, and after 20 minutes finally got asked for our order. One meal, (the toast) came out straight away we then waited half an hour for coffees which where cold, and then another, 1 hour and... More

Spent plenty of time in here while stating in the Adina Hotel. QSR is off the lobby in the hotel and it is a hidden gem. Awesome place for a casual meal or a drink. Sit inside in the comfort of the air conditioning or people watch at a table on the street. The service and staff are first rate.... More

I booked a table here after receiving a Dimmi promotion via email, and I'm glad I did! The steaks were fantastic, and the hollandaise sauce did not disappoint. Service was friendly and the venue had a relaxed, casual vibe. Would dine again.

This hip urban space in Melbourne's CBD is a welcoming retreat from the cold with its effervescent fit-out, attentive service and creative cuisine.

Queen Street Rescue Restaurant Bar dishes out contemporary Australian fare with unique flavour combinations. The restaurant has a rustic, weathered look about it, from the shabby chic wall panels in white, baby green and lilac hues to the long timber tables with their bucolic-style wooden chairs.

Great food, wine and some old fashioned table service where the wait staff do more than just take your order but make you feel like you've been coming here for years!

We also cater for those needing a Gluten Free menu!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
