Seems to attract the budget diners by the bucket loads. Service average, coffee nice, fruit toast invisible. Order did not arrive minds not on the job. Great book exchange service for travellers.

We had breakfast and enjoyed it. Great food and coffee at a reasonable price. We noticed they had a happy hour so called in for a jug of Sangria on our way home from shopping that night. It was so good we had another! The...More

The service was quick and efficient. The food was cooked to order and thus freshly made. My partner had the chicken burger and I had the mini Vietnamese style burgers. Both of which were tasty, hot and a good size. We ordered a large coffee...More

I chose this restaurant as I follow a strict vegan diet and it offered vegan options and I wanted somewhere that catered for all diets as my niece whom also came is non-vegan. I chose the 'vegan pot pie'. It was edible but nothing to...More

This restaurant should be wall to wall every night! Their haloumi is the very best in Melbourne. Their breakfasts cannot be beat, with their Queen's Eggs being the very best of the best. Their hollandaise sauce is perfection. Their staff is the best I've encountered...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Description
This hip urban space in Melbourne's CBD is a welcoming retreat from the cold with its effervescent fit-out, attentive service and creative cuisine. Queen Street Rescue Restaurant Bar dishes out contemporary Australian fare with unique flavour combinations. The restaurant has a rustic, weathered look about it, from the shabby chic wall panels in white, baby green and lilac hues to the long timber tables with their bucolic-style wooden chairs. Great food, wine and some old fashioned table service where the wait staff do more than just take your order but make you feel like you've been coming here for years! We also cater for those needing a Gluten Free menu!
