Petite restaurant/bar located in CBD. The staff were wonderfully attentive without hovering and the meals were well prepared. The steak night special was prepared perfectly and flavourful. Highly recommended

Went here when I made an extended stay over in Melbourne. Was in Melbourne over the weekend and went to Queen Street and really liked it. They have some very nice and special locality’s that are worth to visit when in Melbourne.

Its always chancy ordering steak at an unknown restaurant but I was very happy with my porterhouse. Tender and cooked to perfection with a delicious jus. Breakfast was amazing as well - the baked mushrooms mmm!

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary

throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Description
This hip urban space in Melbourne's CBD is a welcoming retreat from the cold with its effervescent fit-out, attentive service and creative cuisine. Queen Street Rescue Restaurant Bar dishes out contemporary Australian fare with unique flavour combinations. The restaurant has a rustic, weathered look about it, from the shabby chic wall panels in white, baby green and lilac hues to the long timber tables with their bucolic-style wooden chairs. Great food, wine and some old fashioned table service where the wait staff do more than just take your order but make you feel like you've been coming here for years! We also cater for those needing a Gluten Free menu!
