Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I called in for a late lunch and was shown to a table and given water and a menu. I ordered a coffee while I made up my mind on the food. The range was small, but my beef burger was a good choice. It actually tasted of meat (unlike so many others) and was not too sloppy with its sauces. The long black coffee turned out to be excellent and was reasonably priced. It came with a shot glass of soda. I was bothered by the music at first, but later it changed into something that was my taste, so it was not the volume, but my own preferences.

In what seems to have been some type of warehouse, this coffee shop/cafe boasts an impressive coffee menu, including some options you are not likely to find elsewhere in Melbourne. The food menu offers just as many choices, and the staff is efficient working in a popular, busy location.
We enjoyed our food and drinks, this also was perhaps our most expensive breakfast in the city.

We love love love the ambience, the coffee, the food here. Everything is simply amazing. We had Wasabi avocado and the eggs and iced caramel macchiato to wash everything down. Happy tummy. Happy us.

This was recommended for the coffee and the coffee was great
The wait staff were friendly and efficient
The food looked great
and that's where it ended.
we were there for a family pre christmas catch up and breakfast, the music was playing at a painfully loud level making conversation near impossible.
I'm a disabled veteran and deaf I asked if the music could be turned down please and the wait staff returned saying "The manager said this was as low as he could turn the music down on the sound system" She was rather embarrassed. I assume that any half decent sound system can be turned from 10 to 0 and that the reply was a lie.
I was not impressed
Breakfast arrived and looked good 10/10 for presentation
about 4/10 for actual taste.
I had ordered french toast and got a raspberry jam sandwich that had been brushed with egg and burned in a hot pan, the center was cold.
My wife ordered the fruit toast that was inedible, others at the table either did not finish their meals or were unhappy.
Decor was smart and trendy Great if you want to go and listen to the managers choice of music and drink coffee while looking at your friends and family.
Not good if you want to have a conversation and eat good food

We spent the week in Carlton and tried a number of different venues for breakfast and dinner to cover a range of experiences and cuisines and visited Seven Seeds based on the reviews we had read. A clever and creative design and ambience. Service was good and the staff we spoke with friendly, although not overly busy first thing in the morning when we were there. The coffee was very good. The all day menu is quite tight and unique which some may find restrictive. I was disappointed with the scrambled eggs and bacon as a side, which did not state it was pork belly and cooked crispy (I felt burnt). two thick pieces of white sour dough was one too many. My wife provided feedback and experienced some defensiveness but obligingly provided no charge for the bacon. Ok for something hip but our experience at Vertue Coffee Roasters superior.

7 Seeds is close to the hospitals, unis and student accommodation, not far from the markets and the tram stop.
It’s located in a big barn of a place, so tables are very well spaced, and there‘s some limited outdoor seating in a relatively quiet street.
Coffee is good, and amongst the café staples, there’s a good range of cakes and salads.

Cool cafe with industrial design. Lots of seats. Great coffee.
Avo & asparagus toast was tasty.
Partners pancakes were good but one of the pancakes was still a bit raw in the middle.

We went to this place to have brunch with our friends. We all ordered different plates but I will focus more on my order which was Avo something goodness or Godness... And God knows it was delicious 🙌 what made it so special besides the stunning presentation was macadamia nuts and sour cream. You just can't go wrong with those two. Coffee was great as well. I drink almond flat white and I am quite picky when it comes to this combo ;) Highly recommend😉

My husband and I had a delightful experience at Seven Seeds inside the Williamsburg Hotel for Sunday brunch. When we walked in, such a pleasant hostess named Jessica greeted us. Jessica was very accommodating and made sure we had the best seats in the house in honor of my husband‘s birthday. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. The live band was the cherry on top! We made reservations to return next week again! Thank you for a lovely experience!

Visited several times for breakfast or brunch while visiting family. Great quality and friendly service every time. Breakfast are like twists on the classics, very good and my first Melbourne Magic here… but not my last.

Visited Seven Seeds years ago when it was new, now living in Melbourne thought we might chance it again. Good coffee, prefer it hot though. The interior still looks good, the dead plants out the front, please remove them, they look sad. Food was well done, it's a good breakfast place.

Just paid $7.30 for a small strong latte! Tasted good though but definitely have had better at a much cheaper price.

Food was artistically presented and rich in flavor; service crews are attending and promptly address our need; priced in the right range for such a popular cafe; and the coffee was special and great!

Lygon Street
If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who started their day with a local espresso. They are gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this Little Italy which has something for everyone. Starched white tablecloths, candles, pizza the way they do it "back home" and maybe even a bit of amore. The number of gelato choices will leave you in a state of indecision and wide footpaths, big awnings and a sea of packed tables makes this al fresco dining experience a continental buzz. Even if you’re not eating, it’s worth the stroll just for the people-watching, which, of course, is an Italian tradition.
