We visited Kazuki on a Friday night during challenging environmental circumstances. On arrival we were offered hand sanitizer and seated promptly with appropriate social distancing.
We consumed the 7 course degustation and it was absolutely delicious and faultless. The flavors and textures were outstanding. We have been very fortunate to dine at many restaurants throughout Australia and this is possibly our favorite. We will certainly be back.

Visited Kazuki's for my birthday last year. Service was great, decoration was minimalist but ambience was very classy and cosy. took the 5 course meals, and absolutely enjoyed every single bit. Love the nori butter with bread as well. The staff could sense we really enjoyed it and provided us another round of free bread and nori butter!!

We visited last week and I was relieved to find the addictive Moreton Bay Bug dish still on the menu. I think Kazuki must put a sprinkle of opium on it! I can’t wait to have it again. The rest of the menu is also excellent, so you must pay a visit. Sit back in this relaxing, elegant environment and enjoy what the evening (or afternoon) has to offer.

The place is nice and stuff very attentive.
However we love fine dining and Michelin star restaurants and by the look of the website and the reviews we really expected much more.
Good could have a bit stronger flavor and as we saw in other reviews it really takes ages to eat. The spacing between meals is ridiculous and it did take vote 30 min till we had the first dish which is annoying thinking that we had already booked the menu in advance so is not like they were eating for us to decide what to eat… the should be ready for the show right by our arrival…
Drinks pairing didn’t make much sense based on that the drinks, according to their menu are half portions so it’s 150$ for 4 full portions of drinks.
House spritz is very nice. Try it!
So there was nothing wrong but I would not recommend it if you have been to Michelin star restaurants and you hope for this place to be like one. Is not, is a good try, but is not.
I give a star less because it wasn’t nice that one member of the stuff was way more attentive to the table next to us than to anybody else, and that is really not nice, we overheard details of the menu that he never mentioned to us and in general made us feel uncomfortable.
That and that they charge 9$ per head for the water. Unexpected surprise that was just the cherry on the top.

We had NO problem with the food but 45mins between courses , even after we had asked for them a little faster was not great. We were told next course was on its way up .... 20 mins later it appeared. We had 4 of 7 courses and were sick of waiting, had all the kids with us(adults) for a birthday dinner , just too slow for a meal , we left, no apology from rather rude manager . And yes we paid for everything

This is a great restaurant for a grand night night out. The menu is more or less fixed and at $220 pp about as expensive as it gets in Melbourne. Great service and a nice relaxed and uncrowded atmosphere. If anything there is rather too many dishes (there are six hors d'oeuvres alone - and that is before the first course!), resembling a Kyoto banquet. I can't help feeling that a reduced number of course but with a few choices would suit most better.

Kazuki’s is a superb restaurant that offers a sublime fusion of Japanese and European cuisine. The tasting menus are a feast for the senses, with dishes that are creative, delicate and delicious. The service is impeccable, the ambience is elegant and the wine and sake pairings are spot on. Kazuki’s is a must for any food lover!

You can actually hear conversation in the peace and quiet! Impeccable service and small dishes that don’t leave you starving.
Good wine list - not cheap but by the glass if you like.
Food interesting and some a bit overworked but the winner was zucchini flower stuffed with smoked eel.
Left a bit poorer but overall a great meal to remember.

An extraordinary dining experience. We had the seven course degustation and everything we ate was memorable. Creative, produce driven, and never sacrificing flavour for novelty, this is fine dining at its best. Incredible wine list, flawless service and beautiful dining room.

Brilliant. Second visit for me for a business lunch and we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves for 2 hours. Went with the 5 course fixed lunch and had numerous excellent surprises, including a veal salad and a grilled lamb main. Sake was excellent as was the service. Top marks

A wedding anniversary celebration. We were given a very friendly welcome. The wait staff were very knowledgeable and conversational. The 7 course menu was amazing in its preparation and presentation. The wine list was quite detailed. We were given a special wedding anniversary treat at the end of the meal.

One of our favorite meals in Melbourne. We did their sample menu. And wow, what an incredible experience. We loved every dish. The service was perfect. The food kept coming at a perfect pace. You definitely have to try this place!!

If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who started their day with a local espresso. They are gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this Little Italy which has something for everyone. Starched white tablecloths, candles, pizza the way they do it "back home" and maybe even a bit of amore. The number of gelato choices will leave you in a state of indecision and wide footpaths, big awnings and a sea of packed tables makes this al fresco dining experience a continental buzz. Even if you’re not eating, it’s worth the stroll just for the people-watching, which, of course, is an Italian tradition.
