Easter Sunday lunch with friends. Waiters were a bit pushy with taking orders, but gave us time once we explained that we had not seen each other in a long time and had some initial catching up to do... Decent menu with appetizers particularly enticing. Could not quite decide, se we ordered a fair bit. Everything delicious. As mains we... More

Located in the CBD, this restaurant is an exceptional example of Italian food done right. The entree we selected was the prosciutto meat platter as depicted below. Though overpriced, the quality of the meat was superb and it served as a fantastic entree. The squid ink pasta and swimmer crab spaghetti were perfectly cooked, and the quality... More

Thank goodness we didn't read the latest reviews because we would have missed a good pizza experience. We went to this place quiet by chance and found it to be really good. The service was quick and the pizza was great. The only issue I had was that it was a little noise, mainly because it's small and busy. I... More

First of all, we had to wait in line to be served for half and hour before we finally got to the counter to find that everything was severely overpriced! You would that the pizza would be worth the wait and the money but it was not! It was some of the most average pizza we'd ever tasted. Highly overrated... More

Having eaten a lot of very good pizza in the USA about the best we thought here was that the pizza was ok. The service wasn't outstanding but was poor either. The atmosphere was a bit busy for us - it's a very small restaurant with very loud music - at least it was noisy the night we came. For... More

Was dying for a good pizza so we picked +39 based on reviews. I felt like I was back in a little pizzeria in Rome. The pizza was one of the best I have had in a long time. And the service was great and servers very friendly. Molto Bene!

Very nice staff, awesome food. I suggest the stendino (a selection of cured meat) to start with. Only negative point is the carbonara pasta

We dropped in on a rainy Saturday night, were seated at the bar. Shared a pizza and drank some wine, staff were very nice. Food was fantastic.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
