It was a while ago now, but we popped in here just by chance and it was lovely. The croquettes and beef cheeks were amazing!!!

Went as a group of five for dinner last night. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is really cool and the food tasted good. Entrees came out really quickly but the mains took a while to get to us. All dishes ordered were really nice. I found the stools became a little uncomfortable after a while and the music... More

This is a great place to go on a nice afternoon or evening for a late lunch or pre dinner drink as it's close enough to the buzz of Lygon St as a starting (or even finishing) point. There are plenty of craft beers to chose from and the staff are friendly and pleasant. Go on, check it out!

We had a late-ish Friday night dinner here and chose well. I had the rump steak (around $29) and hubby had the waygu beef burger (roughly $20), both with fat home cut chips that I must admit were pretty good. Steak was cooked to perfection, with a nice red wine jus, delicious... Burger was stacked with goodness and tasted very... More

It seems that the business has changed hands and as such, it is not as vibrant as it used to be. When a staff member was asked about the change of ownership it was denied however, it is obvious a significant change has taken place. The service is now average, there are less choices of beers and as a local... More

Some time since we ate here but dropped in expecting the interesting, well executed Spanish influenced small plate experience we really enjoyed. Now a schizophrenic, meat-centric menu dominated by an admittedly well thought out range of steak. My wife's burger was fine with good fat chips, but l chose badly....the chicken schnitzel dish was a 3cm thick piece of lightly... More

This was a chilled place to have a pre dinner drink on our last evening in Australia. The bar staff were amusing and there was a relaxed atmosphere, this would be a good 'local' if one were living nearby. We didn't eat here so no comment on that, but an enjoyable watering hole in a buzzy part of town.

One with the lot was $15. Comes with the BEST EVER FAT CHIPS and a glass of "craft beer or cider". Hamburger had "delicious weird stuff" like currants and avocado. Tasted amazing. Excellent service and quirky venue.

I visited the Markov for a work get together. This is the second time that I have been here, the first time 12 months ago. It's a bar with heaps of different beers to try, and a "restaurant" which is an old building with a concrete floor, and wooden tables. It's noisy and I guess trendy, but wouldn't be my... More
