Had a lovely lunch in this seafood cafe. Choose your fish and they cook it for you, with gorgeous salads.

Have had lunch twice here this week! As I'm not a regular to burgers or fish and chips-going here twice in one week is massive! I had the fish burger on both occasions. It was amazing. The salad in it was fresh and tasty and the 2 pieces of fish were cooked perfectly. Photos don't do the burger justice.

Delicious! I really enjoyed the shrimp and burger. Fresh seafood, made to order. Average pricing & seating.

A regular to this place for lunch, however when they fail, they do it epically. Ordered the salt and pepper calamari. They lost my order. I advised them that we were still waiting on one more meal for our table and they then spent a few minutes looking around, lost. I was then asked what my order was. Once my... More

Great Food, great vibe and quick service also very reasonably priced. We had fish of the day grilled, it was light, melt in the mouth and fresh. The service was friendly and happy staff gave a good feel to the place. It was buzzy with all types of customers, family, business men and girls nights out. We were a group... More

This was a takeaway/ cafe for fish and chips/rice. There was a large assortment of fish shown on the fresh fish counter. It was bustling with locals and a few tourists. Cooked quickly to order, good portions, some meals came with salad and tasted ok too.

I had high expectations because people had raved about Hunky Dory. It's good that the fish and chips are made fresh to order and it all tastes ok, but it's not the fresh taste of the ocean that I expect from great seafood. The salads were the highlight for me. I felt that the serving sizes (being small) made the... More

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
