We stayed at the Sofitel and took up the option of a buffet breakfast at No 35. The food was beautiful, and eggs, pancakes and waffles could be cooked to order. It was a lovely way to end the weekend.

Had the MOMA themed set menu for lunch. Was good if not great, not very substantial and over use of crisp breads! Very nice view, staff, and great wine menu so would like to return but perhaps for the full menu.

Extremely disappointed in food and service. The food is trying to be art, but very bland and does not compliment each other. Bizarre mixes of weird choices, none of which were enjoyable. I feel it was a total waste of money and that’s with my...More

We held the farewell dinner of our study tour here (they didn’t have the ability to have a private room, but they were able to partition off a section just for our group). The service was good, food equally OK, but the big standout out...More

We came for a family event and were left disappointed with the service. I had to call wait staff multiple times: to order; for wine glasses when changing from white to red; for plates for dessert (we shared and made this clear when ordering), etc....More

Yes the views are amazing when the table is near the windows and the staff were attentive, even overly so but the food left us wanting. Arty food on big white plates looked pretty but wasn't substantial the male diners in our group. Always a...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

We had lunch which was “all inclusive” but it was Christmas Day so that might have been a special arrangement. As I said in my original review, the limitation was waiter/waitress service with the drinks: they were too busy... More
