This little gem is right next door to the Nth Melbourne station, and should be a must for anyone coming to Melbourne, or locals who want a great dining experience. My wife and I were staying in Nth Melbourne, and decided to try this Italian...restaurant as it was close by. The home made saffron and herb Gnocchi was superb, as was the blue swimmer crab risotto. Deserts are mainly Italian favourites but with a nice twist from the chefs. We shared a vanilla and lemon pannacotta one night and a sticky date, banana and walnut pudding on the other night. The wine list, although a little limited, has both Australian and Italian wines. The Italian Chianti went extremely well with the risotto. The Sunday special of a bottomless Gnocchi and cocktails for $50 per head is great value when you consider the quality of the food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.More

The food is absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine this is a must go restaurant. Service was fantastic- ever present but not over the top. Knowledgeable polite and respectful staff. A rare combination.

This place is amazing! Great friendly atmosphere, absolutely top-notch food & the best service I've experienced in a long time. Our group of 10 friends have been here twice. First time we stumbled across it after a day out in the city. We were hungry...& thought we'd give it a go. Soon after, we decided to book again as we were so impressed with the food, cleanliness, atmosphere & friendly staff. To my surprise the waitress remembered my drink preference & last meal! We have an even larger group booking in a couple of weeks and I cannot wait! Definitely recommend!More

Had a booking but didn’t eat here. Manager not wearing a mask claimed staff were exempt as it was hot in the kitchen. Felt unsafe so we left.

Best local cafe/restaurant. Amazing food and service. Don’t want to brag too much in case it gets too popular. A hidden gem right across from North Melbourne Station.

The customer service was impeccable and the food was incredible! Really lovely waitress who served us and the manger was incredibly accommodating. I had a pizza and it was wood fired and used quality ingredients.

We have eaten from Sassy many times, and continue to go back, even during COVID. The burgers are among the best in the area, the shoestring fries are crispy and salty, and the truffle mayo is incredible. Highly recommended.
