We are first time visitors to Melbourne and really wanted to have an authentic great pizza for dinner. We decided to go for a walk into the lanes area and came across a great looking place. Whilst the restaurant was busy we were greeted in...a super friendly professional way by the lady on the bar who offered us a choice of a couple of tables. Once seated the service was great, a little complimentary toasted focaccia with home made garlic butter, two excellent glasses of Sauvignon blanc and some of the best pizzas we have had for a long time - great base with plentiful topping - Diavola and San Daniele. Lovely service throughout in great restaurant 5 star - great for couples or group of friends - classy environment Thank youMore

Nice restaurant. Pizza we had was absolutely delicious. The main were ok. Service was good, thought the waiter was a bit overboard with trying to be too italian. One of our friends was finishing his red wine and there was cork in the bottom of...the glass, the waiter took it away quickly - no one said anything. He did notice and was generous in offering us all a swig of Limoncello.More

We had high expectations for this restaurant, based on other Trip Advisor reviews. When we got there, we were greeted by a charming fellow from Venic who showed us to our table in the nearly empty restaurant. Then we ordered a salad to share and...two pastas. The salad came out and it was quite good (pear and arugula). Meanwhile, the dining room tables were filling up ... and then we began noticing that all of these people who were seated well after us were eating their dishes, while we waited, and waited, and waited. We were assured that the food was coming ... and 15-20 minutes later it was still not there. When we pointed this out to our server he said that since we ordered an appetizer (a salad?) he was giving us time to eat it. 45 minutes?? Finally after over an hour our pastas came out. A special of olive oil, bread crumbs and chile was above average, nothing more. The argula pesto pasta was oily and virtually flavorless. "How is your pasta?" asked the server. "Not worth the wait," was our reply. To their credit, they comped my wife's disappointing pasta. But if this is the #4 rated restaurant in Melbourne, this must be a food desert!More

It was around 8:00pm when mum and I decided to go for dinner, as we walked into this small restaurant we were greeted and found a table for the two of us. They were fairly busy, however the service was lovely. We ordered a gluten-free...pizza to share and got given bread with rosemary and garlic butter on the house. The homemade limonada was delicious and the pizza was so fluffy and delicious, especially for a gluten-free pizza. Overall, great service and great food.More

What an amazing time we had tonight. We live in Perth but we’re from Rome. These people know how to make a proper carbonara and pizzas. Everything was excellent! SERVICE IS THE BEST EVER

Unbelievable pizza, super authentic and still crispy on parts of the base. Light and fluffy but not wafer thin. The da Guido truffle pizza was so good and I felt at home like in Italy

I did not have a reservation which I wouldn’t have thought would be an issue on a Monday night but the restaurant was very full. Staff happy seated the two of us. Service was good and food arrived quickly despite a very large birthday party...in the establishment. Food was tasty and the complimentary focaccia shorty after arrival was amazing. Thank you for a very pleasant night, I would happily go backMore
