Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place to eat, well spaced seating and quiet ambience. Very good service and coffee is nice. Only negative was my wife asked for no eggs with her mushroom medley on sour dough and we still hot charged full price on a public holiday inclusive of a 15% surcharge. Not overly impressed.

We enjoyed breakfast over two days in early December. An egg and bacon roll was fresh and filling. The avocado mash plate was generous in size and also tasty. Quality coffee to boot. Fast, friendly service also. Recommended option.

I just love this great cafe/restaurant. I eat breakfast which is always fab. They have the most amazing muesli (fresh and healthy) which they will halve for the small eater. Their toast is great as is the croisssant. They offer lots of spreads for the toast and their coffee is always as you ask.
The one thing I really love is the customer service by staff. Always helpful and friendly which brightens my dull days. The chefs are terrific!!
I’ll keep coming here when I stay at my apartment occasionally. It’s just a lovely place.

Not only was my hot chocolate watery, with little or no milk in it, but Mr Percival was extremely noisy.
The chairs/bench seating with pads were not comfortable, inside or in the concreted outside area, but what stood out was how difficult it was to conduct a conversation.
I spend little money on drinking at cafes: this will have been my first and last visit to this unattractive cafe.

I was searching on trip advisor where to fill my gluten intolerant stomach when I came across this place. The reviews were positive so gave it a go. Two menus for breakfast and lunch, standard and gluten free. Best gluten free bread I have enjoyed for a long time! So great we are heading back there tomorrow before leaving Melbourne! Great coffee too! It's a must!

This is a really lovely little cafe away from the hustle and bustle located in Queens lane.

Starting with the interiors - being an Architect, pragya approves them. They are nice, open bright and contemporary. With loads of seating with different arrangements which is always interesting.
.
.
Coming to the food - there is lot of variety for breakky & lunch, and it was so difficult to choose from, so we went crazy and ordered-
*SMASHED AVOCADO - which came with oumpkin, feta, beetroot puree, poached egg & toast
*SWEET POTATO & LENTIL FRITTERS - these were to die for and came with crispy roti, avocado & poached egg . Amazing fusion we must say.
*CLASSIC EGG & BACON ROLL - this can never go wrong, but it was one of the best we have had here
*FRENCH TOAST - came with butter burnt ice cream, chocolate ganache & berries. .
.
It was a lot but we smashed everything because the food was so good..
We would definitely recommend this place for your next brunch, lunch visit!!

Had brunch here about 5 times whilst visiting from the UK. Our Air BNB backed up to to Mr Percival so we just rolled out of bed and crossed the road. The quality of food and coffee is simply amazing. Staff are also friendly. Thanks guys.

Had an awesome experience at Mr. Percival while staying in the city with my 2 older children. Excellent service, superb coffee and delicious food.
The customer service was second to none. A must visit if you’re hungry and in the areas.

Mr. Percival is a wonderful cafe adjacent to St Kilda road. Close to a tram stop and near by hotels. It offers a nice variety on the breakfast menu to suit all tastes. The staff are very good and the coffee is great. What more could you want!

Myself and my girlfriend went for food at 12pm it’s now 1.47pm and we still didn’t receive our food after approaching the Irish girl 3 still she said she would check the kitchen she stood in the corner thinking we didn’t see and then came back saying it’s on the way when clearly she didn’t approach the kitchen finally the manager heard about this and said we have been at a busy time ‘sorry’ then she said the wraps on the way half hour later still not on the table. Real immature girl should never have a job if she has zero people skills finally had to leave after close to 2 hours with total of 8 people in the restaurant at the end !

While filming House Hunters International we stumbled across this restaurant around the corner from where we were filming. We loved the food, the service and coffee!
