Great food and coffee, excellent and dedicated staff! They are still doing take aways over this extremely tough period for small business. We all need to help a great little cafe from struggling too much in these tough times.
It is a beautiful old house and the service is great (I was brought water as soon as I sat down). The display cakes and muffins looked desirable and the prices were good. The coffee was great and it was pleasant sitting out doors under...cover. My only gripe was my toast. I was not offered any butter with it and it was sliced too thin (sandwich loaf, not toasting loaf). Such things can be fixed easily.More
In the older cottage house, it is my regular coffee spot. Excellent coffee, quite strong and generous choice of breakfast menu. Some sweets if you like with your coffee. Very kind staff. I invited my girlfriend for a lunch. We both enjoyed our meals.
This is my second visit here, and don’t think I’ll be back. My main complaint was with the coffee. It was quite bitter with not much depth nor flavour. The breakfast meals were ok - no real complaints. The atmosphere was nice and the rooms...quite bright. There are however many better options in the area.More
While staying with our friends in Essendon, they pointed us in the direction of a new cafe, Copper and Spoon. It is an older cottage/house that has been re-purposed into a cafe. We sat at a table on the verandah and enjoyed a well-extracted cup...of coffee after a pleasant chat with the cafe proprietor. We shared a bread and butter pudding muffin to accompany our delicious coffees. We had water to quench our thirst as well as a small glass of sparkling water to refresh our palates after the coffee. That was a nice touch. There are communal tables inside as well as several rooms with separate tables. Lovely coffee and food in a relaxing setting.More
First visit today. A friend found this cafe during her school holidays & said come on, come try it. The coffee was great. The only draw back is the revolting coconut sugar stuff instead of sugar but that’s my issue lol I’m sure people like...it but I don’t. My second cup of coffee was better without sugar 😬my friend had the poached eggs and hash browns. I had the brisket benny...OMG it was delicious! And a generous portion too. I was sad to leave what I couldn’t fit in! I loved the simple and elegant taste in decor and the staff were attentive but not in your face. I’ll be back 😊More
