This location is very family friendly with good food. Their are a few steps into location so please note that’s. Restaurant does take reservations and on weekends you might want to make some. Wood fired pizza is their special treat and it is delicious. You can get pizza with red sauce or other sauce. They are thin crust and about 12 in inches in diameter. Location offers a drink menu as well. Building on inside is filled with beautiful street art. Wait staff is super friendly and quite helpful!

Excellent pizza down a little Lane off the beaten track in Melbourne near Chinatown/theater district. Restaurant is small, dark and when full- quite noisy. But that is all part of the charm and the Service and food were both fantastic. We had great recommendations from the server/host/cashier with a beard- funghi and pepperoni pizzas plus another delicious one- mortadella with Burrata and pickled peppers. Fantastic! They even gave a complimentary tiramisu when we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. Highly recommended if you like Naples Style pizza!

The sourdough pizza bases are terrific so after sharing a delicious Margherita with a crisp salad and bottle of reasonably priced good Italian red, we couldn’t resist ordering the Nutella with Strawberries pizza dessert. Service was very attentive and friendly and the pizzas arrived very quickly. The place was rightfully buzzing on a cold Monday evening and as we took our full stomachs and chocolate smiles into the night, we wished we lived closer and could visit regularly.

Positives: quick service, great location, good gluten free pizza base Negatives: I wasn't happy with the napoletana-style Margherita. I wasn't able to pick the pieces up off the plate - it was too sloppy. I couldn't fold the slice. Anyone who knows Napoletana style knows you fold the slice. And there was too much liquid left from the tomatoes. It's in the Vera Pizza Napoletana guidelines that this isn't correct. They made me another pizza, to their credit, but it was about the same. They were pretty arrogant about their pizza being authentic and about how the napoletana style probably isn't for me. I later realised these guys aren't a member of the Vera Pizza Napoletana association, which puts them a notch below competitors like 400 gradi, so maybe they should charge less than top notch competitors like 400 gradi and others.

This place is supposed to be one of the best in Melbourne according to an article by timeout so I had hugh expectations. As far as first impressions go, the place had a very good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and my order arrived very quickly. The pizza however failed to impress. My biggest issue with it is how small the pizza was for the price. Also, $10 for a small glass of beer was too much. As for the quality, the outercrust was good but it was too wet in the middle that the crust is indistinguishable from the sauce and cheese. All in all, I wouldn’t say it’s a bad pizza but there are better options. Rating: 3.5/5

Delicious wood fired pizzas with plenty of selection and washed down with a good Peroni or two. Good tunes playing and staff were attentive and friendly. Recommend a dinner here for all visitors to Melbourne

This is one of those Melbourne experience restraunts as a out of state traveller you always hear about. Very querky, Great food and the staff are second to none. Even when busy they still took the time to chat and not miss on anyones elses orders. Liverpool st. Dont miss it.

On a cold wet day we were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel for lunch and a google search showed this restaurant with good reviews. It didn’t disappoint. We had antipasto and pizza, absolutely delicious. A bottle of good value red rounded off our order. Service was the best I have come across in a long time, overall a great meal and a new favourite when we are in Melbourne.

Had to dine in at SPQR this year as our delivery option was no longer available...to our advantage...as our last delivery in 2020 the cheese had slid off the pizza base. Still tasted great. SPQR was just a short walk from our hotel and it is a top notch pizza. It was very crowded, not slammed, but it was early. Loved the vibe in the restaurant. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the pizza! SPQR's Margherita Pizza in a wood fired oven can't be beat. Perfect mix of San Marzano tomato sauce, Mozzarella di Buffalo, Parmesan, Fresh Basil and a splash of Olive Oil. One of the places that puts enough basil on the top. Service was great. Prices very reasonable. Will definitely return on our next visit to Melbourne. Highly recommend

I have been here during my Bibbiena-Melbourne trip by car, a dream coming true. A very environmentally sustainable trip which I recommend to everyone. I was surprised to find a great Italian chef, Gianmarco, which prepared us his masterpiece: the pizza “Fresco di Zona”, which means “done with fresh ingredients from the local area”. We ended our faboulos dinner with his signature dessert, the tiramisù “Giàlossssai”, which means “you already know you wanna make love with this tiramisù”

Closed when it was supposed to be opened (5pm regular day, advertised on google as ‘open’). I was waiting in front of the restaurant like mediocre but no staff or any signs that it will be opened. No one was answering to multiple phone calls.

Groovy pizza place with friendly staff and good wine and beer selection. Chewy and slightly thick base. Classic toppings but also a few experimental pizza offerings. My son loved the gnocchi.

Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
