Great fine dining experience. We skipped the entrees because I wanted to save room for dessert. It was a good decision. For mains we had the veal cutlet and the slow roasted lamb shoulder accompanied with french fries and broccolini. The meals and the sides were of generous proportions. The meats were tender, the french fries were crunchy and the broccolini tasty. However, the desserts were the highlight of the dinner. We ordered the raspberry souffle and the baked Alaska. Both desserts are not commonly found on restaurant menus. They were both perfect and not overly sweet. The souffle was accompanied with icecream (although the icecream serving should have been larger) and the baked Alaska was served with a strawberry sauce. Would consider going back just for the desserts. Service is also very good. The restaurant has an open kitchen and a also has a large bar. Would recommend Pascale Bar and Grill.

Very much enjoyed our breakfast at Pascale. The staff was very accommodating to my wife's food allergies. Excellent avocado toast on gluten free bread and fresh fruit paired to delicious cappuccinos.

My husband and I had dinner here and as we walked into the hotel and then upstairs to the restaurant it looked absolutely lovely. The dimmed lighting gave the place a very romantic feel to it and we were excited about what to expect from the food side of things. The menu looked brilliant, the service was prompt and staff were polite. We ordered an entree each being the beef tartare and ceviche which looked amazing but there was no wow factor when it came to flavour. Hubby ordered the slow cooked lamb as the main and I had the trout. The lamb was just gorgeous however the trout again lacked a lot of flavour. This was the moment that we decided to forego the dessert. All in all, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either especially when paying those prices.

Dined at Pascale Bar and Grill on Saturday evening. A group of 6. The service was pushy, interrupting conversations for an order after being asked to give us some time. Food presentation was interesting, an eye fillet served on a plate with a cheek of lemon does not scream yum! All sides have to ordered separately, which considering the prices is a bit cheeky. Dessert was beautiful and delicious. Australian wine selection was unavailable and a more expensive overseas wine was pushed, after a bit more investigation on the servers side, the wine requested was found and was even cold? Splitting the bill 3 ways was a problem but splitting in two is not? The staff were quite lofty in their interactions and not particularly friendly or helpful, which is a shame because the space, the decor and bar areas are very nice. Room for improvement.

What a fabulous way to spend an upmarket night out with exceptional food, service, cocktails and interiors. Located in the first floor of QT, the setting is very grown up and sophisticated. The restaurant has views into the kitchen and across to the cocktail bar. Menu is excellent grill food, with steaks that are just exceptional. We had duck and numerous green sides and fish. Gorgeous warm bread with butter was amazing. Wines by the glass are pretty good, but overshot such amazing food. After one of our best nights out in Melbourne, the desserts took it To the next level. Wow. Deconstructed cheesecake with dried ice smoke and boysenberry soufflé. Wow. Don’t miss this. Especially god for couples but I took my kids and they liked it more than I did and I loved it.

Whilst staying in the hotel we had dinner here one night. Nice atmosphere and decor. Friendly efficient staff. Not cheap so expected some 'wow'. We had prawns and the tartere for entre and both were good. Chicken and Duck for mains: the duck breast was cooked two ways...the standard slices were nicely cooked with crisp skin...and nice sauce. The spring roll was dry and lacked flavour. Quite a nice salad and good potatoes. So good but no wow and for the money you expect a bit more.

World Class! I don’t say that lightly, absolutely best dining experience I have had in Melbourne. Better than the Atlantic. Cacio e pepe, Veal Cutlet, scotch fillet, sides, best dessert menu I have seen in a long time. Normally restaurants are chocolate this chocolate that and a panacotta not a Pascale. Ambience was fantastic and every cocktail I ordered was delicious. Outstanding service. Well done Pascale, well bloody done.

Great place to start the day with a breakfast. the staff service and food are exceptional with a good range. No buffet breakfast which makes the floor really quiet and could enjoy the meal with some news check. The overall value of money is above average and I would recommend for people who enjoys quiet.

We've had superb dinners at our home city QT in Wellington, so had high hopes for breakfast at the Melbourne hotel. Especially since everything else we'd experienced there was of a high standard. But it was not to be. On our first morning I ordered poached eggs on toast. The eggs were not only undercooked, but had been poached with vinegar - my pet hate (because the taste of vinegar overpowers everything). They were blandly served on slices of toasted sourdough, not my favourite bread but that's what they came with. No garnish, nothing. Not wishing to repeat the vinegar experience, I ordered scrambled eggs next time. They did taste better, but again, were blandly served on toast. They were crying out for a sprinkling of parsley or chives, maybe a little side of fresh tomato and basil or spinach. Where was the imagination, so prevalent throughout the rest of the hotel? It seemed to be absent here. That was enough for us - we found a local cafe for our final breakfast, where we enjoyed a delicious eggs benedict with properly poached eggs (no vinegar and perfectly cooked) enhanced with smoked salmon and spinach. In case you need to know, it was called Gordon's.

A birthday dinner was the reason for a special night out. The setting is lovely but only if you like loud music. I ordered the eye fillet and my wife porchetta. Instead of the eye fillet I was served a salty, over cooked rib eye which was removed from the bill ( Sorry they were training new staff). They did offer to whip up an eye fillet mind you but my wife’s meal would have gotten cold The porchetta was dry and mostly stuffing. The crackle too hard for biting. Desserts consisted of a NY Baked cheesecake which was fair but my wife’s profiteroles needed a knife to cut through the bases. Oh and $16 for a bottle of sparkling water. But the coffee was great.

Its was meant to be a special occasion, my wife and I wedding anniversary and due to the lack of waiters and the terrible service the experience felt more like a 2 star restaurant, I feel for the chef as its management and waitresses team are letting the them down. I did reach out directly to management and received this response (we will try we did our best but it has become a good learning experience for myself and my team). not a good reason for a 5 star restaurant as it was not a good experience for my wife and I.

We stayed at the QT for a week and ate breakfast here every day (not part of our room rate) as it was so good. Great choice, consistently excellent quality and great service from Spencer. Food came out hot, which to us is very important. We had dinner here one night and service from Louis was also excellent, great dinner choices, honest opinions on what to chose. Lovely vibe. Only slight criticism that management can sort for staff & customers is the air con, 6/7 days it was freezing at breakfast. Today was just right, as we leave… Would highly recommend.

The food we ordered was very good and service was good. However, the ambience was wrecked by a selfish couple who let their very young children shout and scream the run around with no parental intervention. The staff did not intervene either when a gentle and diplomatic comment might well have reduced the aggravation suffered by all the other diners A very generous Very Good rating given for the food

My eye-fillet was the best steak I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection, it melted away in my mouth. Add to that a complimentary entree and a pavlova dessert to die for. Top it off with a vast selection of wines and excellent table service. This was by far the best meal I've eaten in some time. I will be back - with the tribe!

Dined at pascale last weekend with my partner, best service we've had anywhere in Melbourne in a very long time. Our waitress Hannah was outstanding, we enjoyed everything she suggested. Porchetta is a must try and definitely ask her for a wine match no matter what you order. A perfect night. Keep it up QT

Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
