Stumbled across Hearth on a cold evening on our way to another restaurant which we weren't feeling particularly enthusiastic about. What a pleasant surprise, warm and cosy with fires blazing we chose three small plates and dessert all of which were divine. Interesting, exquisite flavour...More

In spite of some of the other less enthusiastic reviews, we chose Hearth. It was cozy and the staff was very friendly. We found the menu to be limited but the choices we made were excellent. The only thing holding this from a 5 was...More

Hearth is a quaint little house restaurant with not 1 but 3 open fires, very necessary when it is unseasonably cold in November in Hobart. We had the cauliflower gratin in blue cheese sauce as a shared starter - very tasty. To follow my husband...More

The place is nice and cosy. Very good customer service but the food wasn’t that amazing specially considering the high price.

New ownership but just as good food and friendly customer service. I recently went here and order the pumpkin gnocchi; it was simply beautiful and a decent portion too. My partner ordered a vegetable pizza and really enjoyed it, it was a large size as...More

Very cozy atmosphere as this is in a restored house and you feel like you're dining in someone's home. Food was pretty good but portions were a bit wee for the price. My friend enjoyed his dessert. Not a bad option if you're chilling with...More

Went on a Friday night with a group of friends. The food was okay and came out quickly (though not much variety in menu, very limited vegetarian options and does not cater for gluten free), however once we received our meals nobody ever came back...More

We visited Hearth for dinner and felt the warmth of the staff and the fireplaces as soon as we arrived. It is a small, quite intimate restaurant, but not snobbish and caters for larger groups as well. Our lovely hostess Bianca decided we hadn't ordered...More

I have only been to this restaurant once, on a holiday to Tassie but it was the best meal I had on my trip. My husband and I enjoyed the pork belly to start, had a main of the lamb, marmalade and goats cheese pizza...More

My partner and I got takeaway from Hearth, as our usual go to pizza joint was closed. We were excited by the pizza menu, and thought we may have found a real winner. Unfortunately, on this occasion we were wrong. The dough itself was extremely...More

Yes, I think its quite romantic. The night we were there, there was a table of 10 next to us. But it didnt bother us. And the lighting is fairly low.

Casual family friendly eatery serving pizza and small plates. We have a small boutique wine list and craft beers. Open fires and small intimate rooms make this a special place to dine.
