A great place to stop for a tea/coffee as you while away the time in Salamanca. Have been here multiple times and always receive friendly service.
I loved everything about this place. The people were kind and funny and the sandwich was yummy. Their bread made all the difference. And their hot chocolate...sometimes you just have to stop and sip the hot chocolate.
After arriving in Hobart mid morning we looked for somewhere to eat. Found this delightful place with excellent food. Staff are happy, polite and helpful. Food and drinks are served in a reasonable time. I would suggest trying their Eggs Benedict.... amazing!

The Retro Cafe has been there for decades but is still turning out delicious, inexpensive meals in a great location right on Salamanca Place.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the Retro Cafe this weekend. The service was friendly and attentive. The food came quickly and was absolutely scrumptious. Great value and definitely worth a is it.
