The interior is kitschy maritime fun and memorabilia abounds. The food is local, service good, and wine list sufficient. A great spot on Hunter St and a Hobart must see.

Not your typical place. In every nooh and cranny you will find some thing to see. Food was amazing and good value. Staff effective but not over bearing.

Had a good evening here a few years back. Sadly now a disappointing venue. Very crowded - a few more inches for each person would make things more relaxing, I could hear every time the guy on the next table swallowed! Food was ok but nothing to write home about, even though I had the night's so-called main special dish.... More

Popped in one night by myself and the staff were super accommodating. I was hankering for seafood and I came to the right place. Decor is pretty cool and cosy. The thing that will bring me back is the food. SENSATIONAL

Nice menu with various seafood dishes. Great atmosphere makes you feel you're inside an old ship. Close to pier. Would go back.

Been to this restaurant twice in Hobart with a 5 years gap between visits and still loved the meal. The place is small but the meal is well worth it

This is your typical overrated tourist restaurant. Crowded, cramped, smelly, rushed, noisy more akin to McDonald's than fine dining. Food is a 5 out of 10. Service is very good and the shining light of the establishment. THE "DA" has been there a long time and established a reputation for bustle, fun and seafood. I think teenagers would love it.

This place has two sittings - 6pm and 8.15pm. We arrived early at 5.45pm and they didn't open their door until precisely 6pm. Staff were friendly and efficient, the decor was like a ship's interior, atmosphere was very cosy. Drinks and food came out super fast almost to the point that we felt rushed. The food was very nice but... More

Good food, although not gourmet. Wonderful quirky surroundings. Good friendly service . Blah blah (to fill up space as TripAdvisor won't accept less than 100 characters!)
