Went here a few years agi and was really impressed, however, this visit was terrible. Restaurant wad virtually empty, but was given a corner table. Waiter was prompt and brought out entrees, bread and wine. Then the tour bus arrived and we were ignored for...More

My husband and I took our 4 year old here because he has been bugging us for ages to take him to the "pirate" restaurant. Needless to say the décor was the highlight of our dining experience. We had a 5.30pm booking on a Saturday...More

We arrived without a booking but they had a table free and set us up quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Mostly seafood on the menu but at least one chicken and one steak dish too. I had sizzling salmon, fish scollop and squid on...More

We all had seafood and what a fantastic meal we were served. I had the seafood platter served on hot metal griddle. Great meal. Good value. Served by very friendly staff. The building is very historic and full of some great memorabilia.

Situated on the harbour wall, near the cruise terminal, this restaurant is aimed at tourists, full of seafaring memorabilia and artifacts, the menu has a strong leaning towards seafood, which is not surprising in its location. The food was good, the sultans pot had only...More

I've eaten here on a number of occassions and have always had a fresh and delicious meal served to me. The seafood is fresh and the steaks are fantastic. The interior of this place makes me smile. Don't be fooled by the quirkiness of it...More

Arrived on a crowded evening, so lucky to get a table. Decor very nautical as well as the smell ! To be fair we were quite close to the kitchen. However, food good as well as service so no complaints.

Generally a very underwhelming experience. Visited on Sunday evening and we were basically ignored. Food was ok but not inspiring and overpriced. Ambiance was like a nautically inspired theme park. Very disappointing all round.

We had a light dinner here and found the prices quite high. We had a small ($A19.99) and large ($A29.99) chowder, which was delicious but expensive. Add in a $22 martini and a beer and our bill was $91.

Had a delicious dinner with work colleagues. The variety of menu options with regards to seafood was outstanding. Wine and beer choice was first rate

One of Hobart's iconic restaurants and is popular with both locals and visitors to Hobart alike. We are a family run restaurant and we have been operating since 1979 offering the diner a truly unique experience and very fresh and tasty Tassie seafood and meals. The restaurant is world renowned, features in many global travel guides and is always popular – so reservations are advised! Open 7 days a week with parking out front.
