Whilst friendly the service was lacking. After waiting for twenty minutes to be served each time we decided a two hour wait for our main meals was too long. Which was a shame because the food tasted good. If you aren't in a hurry give...More

We booked into this restaurant and were happy we had. We walked in to be greeted by smiling, cheerful people and shown to our table. The food we had was tasty and delicious. A little different from the normal Indian that we were used to,...More

There are many of the familiar Indian dishes, in the curry range. We were introduced to several variations given the Nepal influence. It was divine.

Kathmandu Cuisine is a great restaurant for vegetarians. The food was delicious and servings generous. The service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the Aloo chops, vege momo and Bhanta Aloo, but the standout dish was the Kerau Paneer.

Must agree with the positive sentiment about Kathmandu Cuisine, the food is delicious and the ladies serving us extremely polite and attentive. The menu had a large variety of meat, vegetable and seafood dishes to choose from, far too many to list. The dishes we...More

Description
Kathmandu is relatively new to Hobart, offering a delicious range of Nepalese food, taking inspiration from our neighbours India, Tibet and China. Picture a quiet evening out with your loved one, tucked away in an intimate dining space, soft warm lighting and street views of heritage Battery Point. Or a lively get together with a bunch of friends out the back room. This place caters for all, providing excellent and attentive service. The menu is extensive, offering a range of dishes tailored for meat and vegetables. Selection of curries, covering, fish, chicken, lamb and goat. To accompany serves of garlic roti and rice, one infused with almonds, peas and currants. The flavours in these meals are delicately complex, where saffron, cumin and cardamon marry black pepper cinnamon and ginger. Beautifully presented, and prepared you will be hankering for more.
