Me and friends came to Mother India on Wednesday night, we have tried many Indian places but mother India has to be the number one, the service ,environment and specially the food was amazing and made us feel like home.
We ordered Mother India's special Kebab and Chilli Paneer as an appetizer. Really fresh and delicious. We ordered Chicken Tikka with Roti's for the mains. All we ordered was yummy and very well priced. The servings were of a decent quality. Would highly recommend it!
Pure authentic Indian cuisine at Hobart is strongly recommended! Biryani is pretty yummy, and he serves a lot of stuff. Nice setting for a comfortable sitting, and the food was nice to taste. Trust them too much!
Me and my partner went to Mother India for the first time, we had classic banquet which had so many variety of curries. which all were really amazing and they also had dessert which was one of my favourite. Service was really pleasing, Would go...again and highly recommend.More
Whenever we visit an Indian, we usually ask for leftovers to be put in a container for takeaway because we ordered a little too much. This on its own, of course, is a good sign for both customer and restaurateur. Rarely if ever have we...asked to take home leftovers from the entrée. We did here not only because the entrée was so generous, but also because we wanted to savour it again the next day. We shared the non-vegetarian platter, a mouthwatering assortment of traditional Indian starters for $26. Add a couple of side serves of rice, naan and poppadoms and it could easily serve as a main meal for two. We persevered, and I veered off my usual chicken madras course to try their own chicken Punjabi. It was delicious, with a wonderful balance of medium spice and robust flavours. My wife’s chicken korma also hit the spot. Two shared side dishes was plenty – and yes, we took home some of those too. While most items were one or two dollars more than in elsewhere, that was a ridiculously small price to pay for such exquisite food and excellent service from knowledgeable staff. If there’s a better all-round Indian restaurant in Hobart, we’d like to know. We’ll give it five chapatis.More
