Wow this ace was a great little surprise! Came here for the reviews on the coffee and quick eats and was surprised to find amazing Korean fusion style food that is worth the visit! Love the menu with plenty of options and popping with flavour....The coffee is on point to a tee. Service was quick, super friendly and willing to help and make fresh. Lunch time and time for a "Ho hum" sandwich I thought... How wrong was I? Friendly little place with fantastic wraps. From your generic to the gourmet... Their peking duck... To die for and their unusual Japanese omelette roll wow... We will be back...

I used to be a regular at the Shoebox and after living overseas for a couple of years I made a beeline for it on a visit back to Hobart. The duck was as good as ever, the staff still great and the new layout...really works. Congrats Shoebox - as good as ever.More

Went to shoebox for the first time today after having consistently having heard good things about it from friends and it definitely lived up to expectation! Staff were absolutely lovely and efficient, food was tasty and amazing (lots of vegan and veg options too!) and...coffee was tasty too. I don't normally like coffee but here I did. What a little sunny spot on Elizabeth Street. Fabulous coffee, just the right amount of food choices, to linger or to eat and run. The eggs in buns are fabuloso. They seem to have food combos down pat, with tarty rhubarb relish enhancing creamy scrambled...eggs in tasty buns.More

I go to the Elizabth St store for the best mochas in town. Sammy who owns the cafe is always super friendly with a massive smile on her face. Highly recommend the scrambled eggs and rhubarb relish when eating in or the take away bun...version. Sesame seed wraps are also amazing 👌More

This was a great find as we walked through the mall, it's not big but they pack a lot in! The coffee is amazing and the slices top off a quick snack. Worth finding!

Great coffee! Tasty food! Good value! Charming service! What's not to like? This is obviously a fave among locals if the regular stream of walk-ins is anything to go by.....even drive-ins, as people pull up outside and dash in for a coffee. The food is...delicious too - always crisp salads and fresh ingredients - and an interesting menu with daily specials as well as a few stalwarts. The seating is limited, though, so get in early if you want a seat at the table and be prepared to share!More
I rarely write reviews.. but this is necessary. I had never heard of this cafe until I thankfully decided on a tofu sesame wrap at the winter feast (dark mofo) last year. I then visited the cafe to see if they were as good as...I remembered. Each time I've been back to shoebox cafe since they have been equally as delicious every time. I can honestly say this is my absolute favourite lunch time treat. If you are a meat eater they also have different meat options. Do yourself a favour and go experience one of these delicious sesame wraps. You will not be disappointed and you're welcome in advance. Thank you for this heavenly creation guys!! I've wandered by this cafe often and this morning decided to try a takeaway coffee and check the place out. It's a nice, quirky little space with a welcoming atmosphere. Lots of tempting yummies on display, but I was only there for a caffeine hit....The brew was delicious and served at a perfect temperature. At $3.80 for a small flat white, price is on a par with most of Hobart's coffee shops. Staffed by friendly, tattooed chicks :)More
Quaint corner café, stools to sit on around the café or nearby seating in open area. Grabbed a coffee, bit slow in making but was worth the wait. Food options were good, no your average salad sandwich, however did provide the ever popular meat pie....cakes, slices and sliders, all quite yummy. price a bit more than expected but most seem happy to pay when on the run.... Toilets nearby and definitely accessible for wheelchairs. Very friendly staff.More
This stop was a relaxing spot for morning coffee. Coffee was excellent and service solid. The Shoebox seems to have a second outlet in Centrepoint but we visited the Elizabeth St outlet
