Food was amazing and the staff were very accomodating, fitting us with our two year old in a good spot and overall being really friendly. It goes a long way and it’s means a lot.

Had a delicious meal here, somewhat marred by the bearded front man who noted we were ‘running behind’ for a 2 hour window from 5 pm and was told we’d have to be out by 7. We were left feeling unwelcome and rushed throughout the...meal. The place was largely empty, we had 3 three lovely courses and finished with 40 minutes to spare. First impressions count!More
Great food and excellent service. We went with a Hobart local who chose really well for us and we enjoyed everything. Service was friendly and professionally.
Had been to the Salamanca Market and desperately wanted a decent coffee and a sit down. This was good choice with the added benefit of having "Happy Birthday Mr President" statues close by. Service was very good, coffee was excellent and rest was most appreciated
We stumbled across Suzie Luck’s Canteen and Cocktail Bar when checking out Salamanca Place and it dos not disappoint, It was a Saturday night and the place was packed. With no booking and some sweet talking, we managed to secure two seats if we were...in and out within 60 mins. Easy, we said. Our drinks came out very quickly and then our meals and boy they were good. Their servings were very generous and I struggled to eat it all. The (young) staff were great, talkative and very prompt despite it being very busy. We highly recommend Suzie Luck’s if you are visiting Hobart and we will definitely go back there again on our next visit.More
My night didn't start great as I'd booked a table weeks in advance and on arrival was shown to a side table with some stools. More like a cafe than a restaurant. I asked the Manager if we could have seats with back supports as...I broke my back some years ago and require good support if sitting for a length of time. At first, I didn't think I was being taken seriously but eventually we were put on a share table and that was adequate. It's a very noisy restaurant so not somewhere you'd go for a quiet, romantic dinner but the vibe was great. My friends and I shared our food which I have to say was absolutely delicious. I'm looking forward to going back. I know now to ask for a chair with back support.More
97 dollars for a bit of chicken with rice and two beers. it was empty during the lunchtime, now i understand why. no one likes to be ripped off . the service was good
We had an amazing meal at Suzie Luck’s. The food was of very high quality and taste, especially the wagu beef massaman curry, absolutely delicious. I was told there aren’t many good Asian restaurants in Hobart but this one is definitely worth visiting.
A cosy casual vibe…very busy on a Thursday night so worth booking. The food was fresh and tasty but some dishes had sauces that were too sweet/heavy and overpowered the main ingredients eg. Beautiful “pink Ling” was drowned in a very sweet sauce. We really...liked the tofu roll-ups (see photo)…similar to Peking duck pancakes but vegan of course. The eggplant dish was tasty - a lot like tempura although batter not as light as we usually prefer.More
We were hardly greeted on arrival. Zero engagement or a smile from disinterested waiting staff who seemed on automatic pilot. Thank goodness the food was tasty, interesting and well prepared. Does it matter? A little bit when you’re paying those prices.
I went in with good expectations, only really heard good things. It started mediocre and ended poorly. We had to ask 3 separate times for a food menu before someone actually gave us one. We had chipped water glasses which I discovered as I drank...and felt something sharp on my lip. We got the pork dumplings which were average at best, boring, nothing really wrong with them just wouldn’t get again. Got the chicken katsu. The crumb coating was thick as, chicken was moist which was nice but there was zero flavor, absolutely none other than fried crumb. The shining moment was for my unfortunate friend who order the wagyu. As soon as it was put in front of her she said she smelled something and held it to me to smell. Words really cannot describe the awful foul smelling odor that came from this meat. It was like a horrible combination of burnt hair, burnt meat, gamey, yeasty, sweat. It was as bad a taste as it was a smell. It wasn’t rancid meat because that wasn’t anywhere near the smell but my god it was so so so horrible. My friend choked down one piece and I couldn’t even finish half of one. Even 2 hours later after we left and let management know they should look at that dish because it was actually inedible, went to a different food place, I still have a horrendous aftertaste of it. The sad part is that I went in with high hopes and left with such a (literal) bad taste in my mouth.More
We were a walk in & lucky to get a table. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful with the menu. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Meals were a tad on the small side but super tasty.
We hadn't made a booking on a Saturday night although we were still able to get a spot at the bar to eat without issue (we where there pretty early though). It's definitely a hot spot to be and right in the mix of things...down in Salamanca. Had some tasty cocktails and beer and a range of vegetarian shared dishes. Plenty of vegetarian choices (and options for dietary requirements) which was fantastic and made it hard to choose. All dishes were really solid and full of flavour. Standouts were the Pink Panther cocktail with the addition of pink peppercorn and the salt and pepper tofu roll ups as well as the smashed cucumber. Fun night out, would suggest booking if possible to avoid disappointment.More
Enjoyed lunch at Suzie Luck's a couple of days ago on another foodie trip in Hobart. Cape grim beef skewer a little boring. Chicken and coriander dumplings were nice. Ducks rolls up were about what you expect albeit a little bland. Lamb laab probably our...favourite dish. If you're in the mood for Asian food this place will suffice. Can definitely picture this as a fun night out with friends. Staff were lovely and welcoming. If you're a local, give it a try, If you're on holiday you can probably give it a skip. Nothing amazing unfortunately!More
We really loved this place and will be back. Fun atmosphere. Tasty food and cocktails. We came as a couple and sat at the bar which was really great but will bring the kids next time.
