Season #4 | every Friday | 4.30pm - 9.00pm | 06 Dec 2019 - 24 Apr 2020 If it’s not produced in Tasmania, you won’t find it at Street Eats @ Franko! Brought to you by the creators of Hobart’s much-loved Farm Gate Market, this hyperactive street food night market spreads itself across a beautiful inner-city park. Offering funky stalls with street food menus starring our island’s rich and abundant food offerings, dishes can be perfectly paired with a Tasmanian craft beer, cider, local spirit or cold climate wine. Picnic blankets are provided across sprawling lawns, so you can munch and muse to the rhythms of live music with an eclectic mix of musicians that are the cream of the crop.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family and I love Street Eats @ Franko. We try to go at least twice a month. A great variety of food and drinks. We never get bored with the menu. Prices are reasonable, service is fast and the live music makes for a great atmosphere.

We stumbled upon this on the way to our hostel, and later returned to get some dinner and listen to the live music! The band Boil Up were an incredible jazz / soul band, providing great music and vibes for the crowd to dance to! There were many food stalls to choose from, with a lot of variety. The food was yummy and we had so much fun! Definitely recommend this🥳

My first every Squidlipop! - This is a great venue for music and street food in the heart of the city. There are approximately 10-15 Food trucks and bars severing a range street food including the mow famous Squid on a stick (Squidlipop) - There are tables and benches to sit at - but if its dry then most people sit on the grass bank and watch the band. There is a great mix of people, all ages, with a real party vibe. This is well worth a visit.

The event did not occur in April and only occurs during summer. We were lucky to be in Hobart during their monthly Hobart Twilight Market

If you find yourself in Hobart on a Friday this is a must do. Great range of tasty street eats from grilled seafood to vegan stuff on a stick for the animal lovers. Bonus live music and alcoholic beverages. Sit in the grass and enjoy.

Run in summer and part of Autumn. Located right in the CBD in a park, close to the wharf area. Street Eats has a range of delicious food options from the many vans and it also has free musical entertainment - Highly recommend.

It was our second to last night in Hobart, and our hosts took us here to check out the local scene before we headed to Battery Point for dinner. Great vibe and the food & drink looked awesome! Very friendly crowd with many just chilling to the music and enjoying a bite to eat on a Friday nite -

We took our niece from Norway last week and went again on Friday. It's so good to have this every week in the summer in a beautiful park right in the centre. The live music is always great, and there is so much choice for food and drink, including ice creams. With so many people dancing and enjoying this event, it will be a bit sad when it ends in April.

We were visiting Hobart and friends who live in Hobart arranged for us to meet them here. Great variety of street eats, should suit every taste. Everything we ate was really yummy. The bands playing were great, Fantastic atmosphere and a good place to catch up with friends, have a drink, enjoy the entertainment & just relax. Only issue for us was finding parking. A great night out.

When we arrived at Street Eats the place was jumping. Every Friday 4.30-9.00pm, November to April families and friends flock to Franklin square to enjoy the popular Street Eats brought to you by Hobarts much-loved Farm Gate Market. There are heaps of food stalls and drinks to choose from. You then find yourself a seat on the lawn and enjoy the entertainment. Really good and a must when visiting Hobart.

There is a great set of food options at this Friday afternoon/evening event.
Prices start at under $5 and grow to over $20, depending on what you choose. Alcohol is available as well as home made lemonade, iced coffees and other local creations.
With live music playing, this weekly summer event makes for a relaxed and easygoing evening meal.
