We visited Kangaroo Island over the last couple of days and finished off at the beautiful Rustic Blue Gallery & Cafe. We enjoyed the lovely back drop of the property with their pet Kangaroos under the shade of the Pine Tree while having a fantastic...coffee and yummy lunch. We also found a couple of pieces of unique jewelry to purchase and a delightful Art piece to add to our collection. I would highly recommend you visit Rustic Blue if you are looking for a unique and colourful experience with items from local artists and the region.More

We wanted to do a sunset experience, where the local wildlife and birds tend to come close to the gallery. Due to inclement weather the experience could not be held but the owner, Coralie, generously invited me the next day to come before the gallery...opened. Despite the windy conditions, there were many species of birds in the trees near the gallery. The gallery itself is interesting with works from various artists and includes 3 Harley Davidson bikes on display.More

Very welcome pitstop on long trip to extreme west of KI. Cafe offers home-cooked snacks and drinks. Interesting craft items in shop. I fell in love with Red Tractor books and products so purchased several for self and gifts. Outside seating for drinks etc, next...to feeding area for local kangaroos.More

Authentic Australian cafe that we were fortunate enough to visit on our amazing tour with Coralie. Make sure you stop there and if you are lucky have her for a guide as well. Great place for a snack and to pick up a few items

Really nice set up with kangaroos on the grass next to the terrace. Just wanted to get coffee and ended up having a nice morning at this amazing place! Very friendly hosts and lovely set up of this cafe. Must do on Kangaroo Island!

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are very proud of our business and our artists. The added bonus for us are the beautiful wild kangaroos that live closeby the gallery gardens visible for all to see.

Nice selection of works of local artists, friendly staff. Food was ok for meat-eaters, although selection and portions were small. Vegetarians beware that the vegetable quiche contains meat, and not all staff appears to know this.More

Thank you for taking the time to make a trip advisor post about our business I'm surprised to read that firstly you mention our quiche ? We have never served Quiche. We do make our own Frittata however. Secondly I myself am vegetarian and I...More

We made an enquiry about vegetarian options prior to our visit, and the enquiry was handled in a timely and friendly manner. Coralie was very accommodating, and we really enjoyed the quinoa salad they prepared especially for us and a few other vegetarian options on...offer. Just fresh, honest food prepared with care. Lovely quiet resting spot after a busy morning sightseeing and to prepare for more activities in the afternoon. And what a lovely lady Coralie is, and she made sure that my elderly mother was entertained and well looked after while my son and I went on a quad bike tour nearby. We returned five minutes past the cafe's closing time, but we were still greeted with a smile and not some angry face ready to "kick us out". I was so grateful for their kindness and generosity. The unique location, setting (including a platform for local artists) and the sincere customer service make this small business worth supporting.More

This cafe had been recommended, but I'm not sure what was happening last week when we visited. There was only 1 baguette available ($8) and the coffee and hot chocolates tasted like they were out of those vintage vending machines...gritty and tasteless. Very disappointing.
