I enjoyed my dinner here very much. They serve delicious Malaysian/Indonesian food. The chicken satay starter and the Lemongrass Pepper Lamb main were both very tasty. Good food and good service.

We find this restaurant and decided to give it a go, we were not disappointed, we chose a variety of dishes and enjoyed them all. Everything had great flavour they were seasoned well and hot. Service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed it so much...that out of our 4 nights in Adelaide we ate here twice. I highly recommend Hut and Soul.More
From the moment we entered this was a great experience. The owner was very attentive and people were greeted the moment they arrived. Service was excellent and the variety and quality of the innovative dishes was exceptional. Wish we had more time to visit again...as this is a "must do" if you are ever in the city.More
It lives up to all of the previous positive reviews. A nice blend of Asian style cooking with some flavours we have never experienced before. Can highly recommend the Dirty Duck!
We ate at Hutt & Soul twice on our six day trip to Adelaide - we loved the food that much. The food was excellent- full of flavour, fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend the roti - it was one of the best roti’s...I have had- flakey and melt in your mouth without being oily. The staff were very friendly, efficient and very accomodating. If you like Indonesia / Malaysian food - you will love Hutt & Soul.More
At Hut & Soul we took the waiter’s recommendation and chose the cereal butter prawns. We are no stranger to prawns dishes of all types but we had never had anything like these! They were quite weird but quite wonderful!! His other recommendation was the...fish curry. That we were not to enthused about. It needed more kick, more fish and there was a too much tough and inedible ocra that really needed tenderising. We felt generally that all dishes were tasty but didn’t have enough kick - spice wise they were pretty safe, even when they listed chilli in the description. I suppose we should have asked for recommendations for the more spicy dishes as that’s what we enjoy. The XO Brussels Sprouts were just amazing and probably got the table’s vote for best dish - as well as the prawns. The duck looked nice as a dish, and was nice enough. Certainly it was a good sized helping. We would be very happy to return as it has good, friendly, casual ‘neighbourhood restaurant’ feeling and certainly many excellent sounding dishes on the menu to work through. We’d maybe just need to ask for some chilli flakes to add on!! $15 corkage is very reasonable so hat’s off to them for not gouging on that like everywhere does.More

Absolutely fantastic food, desserts even better. And such a great atmosphere with a great waiter for our table. Delicious!
I’ve been to this restaurant twice with friends & we’ve enjoyed the feed me menu on both occasions. I asked the staff to change our Jasmin rice to Coconut & it was yes both times. Love the ambience, spacious yet inviting, modern but with an...authentic feel. The art work alone on the walls is worth the trip. The service is swift yet unhurried. The staff all friendly & accommodating. Beer comes with a chilled glass… love that! The food is outstanding… proper chefs food presented beautifully that tastes home made. The fish, beef, chicken spring rolls, accompaniments all spicy, well balanced, satisfying. Very deserving of best asian restaurant in Adl. I will be back for more!More
OMG! This food is amazing! Atmosphere is beautiful and staff are so friendly! Definitely coming back to try more dishes!
We started with some shared chicken satays. It’s normally three per serve, but our waitress said they could easily do an extra one. Grilled deliciousness! We then had the Dirty Duck, Char always Teow and jasmine rice. The Dirty Duck is a stand-out and the...Kway Teow was lovely and smoky. Together with some soft drinks the bill was $80 and worth every penny.More
It was a busy night, I had no reservation, but the service was still prompt and friendly. However, I would gladly put up with really terrible service as the food is outstanding. It is the best meal I have had in a long time, and...the lychee cider, in particular, was amazing.More

Decided to try this place because it had won some awards and we love Malaysian food. Big mistake! Although there was only one other table of diners when we entered early in the evening, we waited to order - and waited and waited. Some new...people arrived at another table - and the staff attended to them, taking their order, serving them drinks, and casually chatting with them. And still we waited! After about 20 minutes, we gave up and left. So we still don’t know what the food is like. But we can vouch for how bad the service is.More

What a beautiful restaurant in all sense. I am amused by the service and the food. The flavours are incredible. Pork is cooked beautifully and Beef Rendang is mild just the way we love it. Thank God for the desserts as well. Top quality. I...highly recommend this place :) Excellent job guys ;)More
We went to Hut & Soul for a birthday dinner on a recommendation. We ordered with the European waiter, pointing out that we shared the chicken satay entree, and individual main courses (2 Beef Rendang, 2 Singapore Chilli Crab, and 1 Dirty Duck). The 2...Beef Rendang came out first. After waiting for a while for the remaining 3, we pointed out to another waiter, from whom we got an abrupt reply “our dishes are meant to be shared, and the chef will cook the dishes accordingly.” Aren't restaurants supposed to cater to customers’ requests? The Singapore Chilli Crab looked rather unappetising - very mashy and did not taste good. We could not see any crab meat in the bright red crab shells which we paid top dollars for. The Dirty Duck was not hot and crispy but dry, as if it was cooked nights before or had been hung up for days before serving up. It was challenging to eat with a fork and SPOON (with bones). The only way one could tackle the dish was to use fingers. We should have taken more notice of the dry Dancing Fish on the website before ordering Dirty Duck. $15 for ONE BOWL of STEAMED RICE was outrageously expensive. ($3 each when one person did not eat rice at all) Normally steamed rice gets charged per serve (if over 3 persons). How could they possibly justify charging customers? For that price we should have ordered Nasi Goreng instead of steamed rice (raw rice cooked in water) which needs no preparation. 1.5% card surcharge was unreasonable. The cash economy was discouraged for the last 2.5 years of Covid. One would think the surcharge would have been factored into the menu pricing. Overall, it was a rather disappointing evening.More
