Inner city oasis. Went here for breakfast on a cold spring morning. We were immediately seated next to an outdoor heater, served delicious, strong coffee and then made our way through 2 beautifully presented, delicious and healthy brekkies.

Very popular so book a time online. Super friendly and efficient staff and an outdoor indoor rustic setting plus the food is imaginative fresh and healthy.
Flavoursome medium roast coffee, good chewy sourdough bread then some great ingredient combos from plain old plain old eggs, to mandarin porridge or rhubarb Babika to the spectacular trout bagel .
If you like fluffy white bread and boring English breakfasts go to all the other places that serve them.
So pleased to find Peter Rabbit keep up the grand effort we enjoyed our breakfasts and lunch

We were staying at the Quest on Franklin, which was a healthy 10 minute walk away, but worth the early morning exercise to get to Peter Rabbit. We had particularly wanted to eat there and we were not disappointed.
It was a slightly nippy public holiday Sunday and luckily for us, we checked in just in nick of time, as the crowds were being to swell behind us. Most were being told to wait, as all the tables were booked out.
Peter Rabbit felt like an autumnal garden, with a slight fairytale vibe about it. Ceramic pots with geraniums in them, wooden steamer trucks on beds of mulch, outdoor couches and big umbrellas, silver birch trees and weeping willows...all added to this great charm.
Our breakfast food hit the spot on every front...perfectly cooked, runny poached eggs and giant rashers of bacon on beautifully toasted sour dough bread. Nothing was left except for yellow mop up marks. And for me the great litmus test of a great breakfast is the coffee. The cappuccinos were excellent. I had two!
Clearly the locals loved Peter Rabbit, judging by the streams of faces coming by. So a big thumbs on from our troop. I will be back!

Staff are quite friendly, but service & food need improvement. We had to go up to the bar 3 or 4 times to check on our drink orders, which had obviously been forgotten several times. The crispy whole potato dish was hard & undercooked in the middle and any crispness was made soggy by the pool of salad dressing (why not put this on the side, or at least separate the salad in a little bowl on the large plate?) Fried chicken side was undercooked and skin was rubbery. Onions were requested to be omitted from one dish, but they weren’t, yet another dish which was supposed to have onions didn’t.
We might have overlooked these issues, had it not been for the poor seating choice by staff - they put a family with 3 small children right next to us on a SHARED long table, so we had to endure the kids banging on the table, bumping into us when they got up from the table every few minutes and breaking into tears/shrieks whenever they didn’t get what they wanted - which was often! The parents were the worst kind - neglectful, allowing their offspring to run out to the roadside, almost tripping a few staff carrying dishes as well. There were plenty of other tables free, so I don’t know why staff thought it was appropriate to seat them next to a group of 4 adults who’d been enjoying cocktails all morning.
It’s a lovely spot set amongst trees, but we won’t bother returning.

Had breakfast here with my wife. We both ordered "eggs your way"Â Mine was fried with chorizo in sourdough, and she ordered scrambled with bacon in sourdough.
My fried eggs were not cooked fully. They were raw runny eggs, and her scambled eggs were like rubber.Â
The sourdough needed a hacksaw to cut it but they gave us a butter knife.Â
Won't be back.

A very cool tree setting in the CBD. We really enjoyed this little find. To the point we had breakfast 3 mornings in a row while in Adelaide CBD. Firstly the coffee was on point. The menu has a good selection for all. Good size meals and value for money. This was our vibe. The staff are very friendly and happy doing their job. They use local ingredients and marry it with some ingredients you would not expect. This is a repeat cafe as we did. Easy parking.

Staying close by and it was pumping the morning I stopped for breakfast.
My waiter was friendly and helpful but the girls behind the counter not so. Coffee was served lukewarm and my breakfast dish was well priced and full of flavour, if a bit too generous in its serving size for one. I felt quite guilty leaving half the meal when there are homeless people sleeping on the surrounding streets.

I had breakfast here and was delighted with the décor and the menu, which had unique options. I'm a huge leaf chai fan, and they make a lovely cup of this at Peter Rabbit. A large group came in just ahead of us and our server kindly put our order through directly into her tablet so it went ahead of theirs. An all around positive experience.

Strange over complicated menu misses the mark. Had a platter. Ingredients do not complement each other and at $24 very expensive for what it is. Bowl of chips $12??? Banana smoothie. Banana wasn't ripe and some other food came out cold. Add in slow service and I can't find any reason to come back here.

Went here today for breakfast with my daughter, husband and two friends. Food took a long time to come out. I was sharing my meal with my one year old. There was only one piece of toast so I asked for a second. They charged me $2 (meal already cost close to $30). It took them over half an hour to bring the bread so the rest of the table was basically finished when I started eating. I was still eating when they told us the next booking was due in ten minutes. Overall, cafe was pretty average in terms of food, service and value for money. Probably wouldn’t go again.

We visited here with friends who live in Adelaide and who chose the venue as it accepts dogs in the outside seating area.
A wonderfull, quirky setting with unusual decorations. Attentive staff, a menu that is certainly different, generous meal sizes and surprisingly reasonable prices.
It is certainly on our list for another visit when we are next in Adelaide - so many dishes we have yet to experience.

Went for brunch with teen son. Plenty of choices on menu to choose from. We ordered ham and cheese croissant and eggs and bacon on sour four bread. Both served with this lovely relish. We also ordered both smoothies on the menu… a classic banana and strawberries and cream. Very refreshing on a warm day and great consistency. Staff seemed very busy and hard at work.

I googled 'best breakfast in Adelaide" and Peter Rabbit was listed. We walked there from our hotel near the convention center. Our breakfast was delicious. I had the Pop's bagel and my husband had the chili scrambled eggs, Service was excellent and the garden setting on a beautiful sunny day will not be forgotten!

This is a pleasant cafe with a good atmosphere. However, the food is fairly plain for the price and the service is really slow. It seems that the whole service is based on what's good for the management not what's good for the customer.

This was just down the road from my hotel and I had walked past it when it was closed. It looked really cute and quirky so I decided to book a table for the next morning (birthday breakfast!) and I am so glad I did!
I went with the Dans Sando, which was a vegan option, and a banana smoothie (minus the honey) and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! My boyfriend had the Mister Potato and a sticky chai and he was in love with it. We both definitely over ate and it was absolutely worth it!
Not only was it so delicious, freshly made but the services was super speedy, the staff were so friendly, laid back but hard working. The vibe of the place was upbeat but chill. If this place existed in Sydney I would be a regular for sure.
Having breakfast here was the best start to my birthday!
I’m definitely going to recommend this to anyone I know that is going to Adelaide.
