Luigi Delicatessen is very passionate about great food. Our breakfast is outstanding, because we use only the very best of ingredients...from our bacon/pancetta to our earth eggs and everyday fresh produce that's delivered in the morning for us to create our menu for the day... Lunches range from pasta to salads, bruschetta, panini a variety of cool drinks and our own blend of coffee. We are always changing the menu to keep things interesting for our customers...some of our famous dishes are....Spaghetti w crab, Luigi's own Marinara...Carbonara, Ragu and many more... ingredients featured ...Buffalo…
Our experience started with a polite informative young staff member , I just wish I could remember her name. We chose the breakfast board and we’re not disappointed. Everything was delicious especially the sausage and salmon. We couldn’t finish it. Will be back for dinner...soon.More
Caught up with 2 friends for lunch and had 3 entree serve sized of pasta - OMG the gnocchi with mushroom sauce was to die for. I should have got a takeaway service for today cant stop thinking about it!
Well what can I say other than yum yum yum and I can’t wait to go back. The service and the knowledge of the wait staff the atmosphere the ambience was so comfortable and inviting. Luigi himself is so hospitable and looks after everyone.
As...for the meals the gnocchi full of flavour and melts in your mouth , the mummas Ragu done traditionally with every mouthful exploding with flavour in your mouth and the marinara pasta AMAZING . So full of flavour well seasoned and made with love.
Nothing like ending an amazing meal with dessert and an awesome coffee!
The cannoli was so delicious and the coffee well I had 2 because it finished my night off perfectly.
Do yourselves a favour and check this place out I know I can not wait to go again.
Thank you Luigi and team. Keep up the great work .More
Although after being given free wines and cocktails, entertained by Luigi and his cocktail maker the overall impression is that of a glossy coffee shop as you enter the foyer of a hotel. Which it is!
As for the ragu the lumps belied the claimed...14 hour slow cooked, also lacked seasoning and there was no offer of salt, pepper or parmesan to enhance. The quail dish was reasonably generous well cooked tender but like the ragu, under seasoned.
Not for me, if we ever return to Adelaide.More

Hi David ,
I respect your feedback and your opinion.
The vast majority of our customers , including us , love being part of the foyer of a multi award winning building …it connects us with our U City community and residents absolutely love it...More
We had lunch at this establishment and the three of us were absolutely blown away with the service, food and staff. We chose to share three pasta dishes plus a side of zucchini flowers. The Gnocchi was to die for, had the gorgonzola sauce and...to was so soft and melt in your mouth. The other two dishes were Spaghetti Marinara and Pasta with Mammas ragu sauce. Every dish was superb. can highly recommend a visit. We'll be going back very soon.
Our grand daughter who was with us and works nearby said she has had coffee there and that is excellent quality as well.More
I arrived a little early before my friends and ordered a coffee which was very enjoyable. I could tell that the staff were well-trained and overall the place was well-presented. There was definitely no shortage of staff either.
Upon the arrival of my friends we...asked for some menus only to be told that they don't have menus and everything is through 'spoken word', meaning that the staff explain 'the menu' to you.
That's a little misleading as they only talked about their breakfast boards (platters) and when questioned about other options, the owner said he could make whatever we want, but then redirected straight back to the breakfast boards. It was obvious that they don't like anyone to deviate from this - it's certainly not encouraged.
The owner seemed frustrated that some of our group weren't keen on the breakfast boards, and in the end simply said 'trust me', and 'I'll look after you'. We were then quite surprised when a table of breakfast platters turned up for everyone without further discussion or orders actually being placed.
Now while I would have preferred to order a meal of my own, the food on the platter was very nice.
So overall, the breakfast boards are nice, and the coffee is good, but the concept of no menus, no prices, and the insistence on you having the breakfast boards was off-putting.
For breakfast I think it's workable, but couldn't imagine going for lunch or dinner and not being able to peruse a menu.More
Very high quality Italian “home cooking” in a comfortable friendly environment. The restaurant’s model is to operate without a written menu but rather with the host explaining the day’s options and suggestions as to how to combine them. We opted to share two starters and...then a “trio of pastas” for mains. Quite delicious but rather too much so we left with the remains of the trio in takeaway boxes. My pescatarian requirement was easily satisfied and vegetarian would also not be difficult. A good selection of wines, including by the glass, is available. A very pleasant dining experience.More
