Mai Kitchen is a family owned and operated business. It consists of authentic Vietnamese food, with the kitchen being lead by Mai herself, who has brought her traditional home cooking into the restaurant for you to enjoy. Vietnamese cuisine consists of a balance between sweet, savory and spicy, which Mai brings out through her dishes. We pride ourselves in providing dishes using only the freshest ingredients and minimising the addition of any additives or preservatives.

Somewhat out of the way, but the upside is parking at the door!
A different menu, with plenty of old favorites, well worth exploring. Particularly recommended are their super-plump Hanoi spring rolls and stuffed with goodness giant pancake! Everything is very fresh, and their accompanying herbs and greenery is exceptional.
I found their sweet 'n sour dishes not to my taste, being cloyingly sweet and unbalanced with sour. The bright red/ vermilion sauce was also alarming!
It also seems to me that the B Team is doing lunch service sometimes, and the quality fails to shine. Maybe dinner is the optimum time to visit.
Open all weekend with Tuesday the only day closed.
Overall, recommended.

Great little place tucked away in the suburbs. Service was very good and our waiter was careful to double check our orders. Service was prompt and with a smile. The entree of Saigon Spring Rolls was delicious especially when wrapped in the salad as per menu suggestion. The chicken satay were really tasty with a delicious sauce. Main course of seafood laksa was huge with an abundance of tasty seafood. The sizzling beef stir fry was indeed sizzling and very tasty, but be prepared with some serviettes to prevent splatter on your clothes. Overall our party was impressed and had a very nice lunch.

Very pleased with the huge amount of vegan options, the care taken to ensure all our meals were nut free, very generous serving size, absolutely delicious food! Fantastic customer service and great value for money. Was great for us to dine as a couple but would happily bring the family as well. Thank you so much to all!

We recently had the misfortune of travelling out from where we were staying in the city to this restaurant deep in the suburbs. We were expecting amazing things based on the reviews and were very disappointed. To start with the restaurant itself is very tired and dated, with too many tables crammed into a small, ugly space. Everything about this restaurant was awful. The menu didn't read as Vietnamese at all, we've had some amazing Vietnamese food in other places. The food tasted like unpleasant Chinese takeaways, the sweet and sour was fluro pink, the beef stir fry was yellow, slimy and bland and the beef in the Thai beef salad looked boiled and grey. We had some amazing food experiences all over Adelaide, but this definitely was not one of them.

The service is exceptional with the staff always happy to see you. They are very prompt in taking the order and the meals are always brought without delay. The food is so delicous and is by far the best vietnamese restaurant in Adelaide if not Australia.

As always we had a fantastic experience at Mai Kitchen. The service is impeccable, incredibly fast and the food is so fresh, flavour packed and perfect for all food intolerances and preferences (not to mention the huge portions!!). My absolute favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Adelaide 😊

We are always greeted with such a warm welcome by the staff and the owner we feel like family. The food is so delicous it is beyond compare. The Luksa is the best I have ever tasted and i love the special fried rice.

We started off by sharing a serve of the Saigon Spring Rolls - delicious! And then I had the Chicken Laksa and my friend had the Combination Beef Pho. The bowls they came in were so huge, neither of us could actually finish it all. And the taste, like the other many things I have tried over the last few years, was amazing!!! To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2, "I'll be back". :)

If you are thinking about coming here, do it!! I have been to lots of Vietnamese restaurants over adelaide trying to find the best and mais kitchen by far is the best!
Not only super tasty but the service is great, food comes out quick with friendly staff who always get your order right, even if you have a table of 15 with all complicated orders.
have been countless times now and taken lots of friends there who all love it. have been working my way through the menu and am yet to find anything i don’t love! i am a meat eater and even the vegan foods are soo yum, I get the vegan roast pork buns all the time now, i recommend the salt and pepper barramundi, seafood laksa (i’m not a fan of squid but they cook it so perfectly i love it), fried rice, and pork and prawn cold rolls.

Beautiful food and generous serves. Cannot fault anything. The Hanoi spring rolls are just to die for and the stir fry with basil was a huge serve but the vegetables with crunch and the meats were melt in the mouth deliciousness

Visited Saturday night. Booked online. Stepped out of the Uber and we could hear the restaurant noise in the street. Walked in and wow. Just so loud and crazy. Situated in a residential street in north western suburbs of Adelaide (15mins from CBD)
Seated at a table near the kitchen swinging door and restaurant check in area. Confusion in who was taking our order. Staff were just robots. Ended up starting a what’s app group to communicate to each other at the table.
Ordered spring rolls first with beer. Drinks arrived within minutes but spring rolls took 45 mins. We were not in a hurry though. Ordered main meal which came out very quickly. Menu looks extensive. Basic and westernized Vietnamese dishes laden in sugary based sauces. Select a protein and choose a sauce.
Was good to visit this restaurant to see what all the fuss is about. Busy, manic, friendly, in and out style, very efficient. Not a restaurant for a quiet romantic meal! Go for a late sitting as restaurant shuts at 9pm and they turn tables over many times in evenings. Takeaway offered.

Had an amazing meal at Mai Kitchen. The service was friendly and was catered for Vegans with a large vegan menu which had the best vegan Vietnamese Ive eaten. My favourtie were the Satay Skewers and the Mock Beef stir fry. Would highly recommend this place. Food came out fast and the staff were lovely. Will defentily come back

The staff are so lovely and attentive and the food is phenomenal. Huge portions, and it was delicious. No one had a bad word to say about anything. The vegan menu was extensive too which made it so much easier for those who had dietary restrictions. The price was also very reasonable and the venue itself is lovely, although it’s hidden away so it’s easy to miss! 10/10, will absolutely be making it a recurring place to go, even if it takes us an hour to drive there, it’s honestly so worth it!

We had dinner with 13 people on a Thursday night. I’ve been several times to this restaurant mostly on weekends when it is busy, whilst it was still consistent it was nothing like the weekends which made it even more enjoyable.
We opted to order several dishes and each dish served was incredible in flavour. The servings are large so it was very cost effective. Vegetables are unbelievably fresh!
Service was very friendly and the meal was served quickly.
Highly recommend this restaurant never had a bad meal all the guests enjoyed the meal as well.
