Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice location and excellent service. We went for a quick business dinner and we were under the impression that this place is both overrated and overpriced. Fine food aspirations but the chicken of our Pad Thai tasted like reheated.

Amazing family dinner. Great selection of fresh, flavoursome food. Very friendly staff. Beautiful venue. Will return. Great for big groups. Didn’t try the desserts but look forward to returning.

My partner and I had dinner here last Friday night. I am Coeliac and have a strict gluten free diet. I booked online and checked their menu. The venue is really nice, bright and airy, with young, informed and helpful staff. The place has a...real buzz, and a broad cross section of diners, couples, big groups and families. The food is terrific, tasty and delicious. EVERYTHING on the menu is GF with ONE exception the roti. Order with confidence. There is also lots of veg and Vegan dishes. Aromatic and delish. They have a good wine list (This is Adelaide!), and a selection of non alcoholic grown up drinks.More

Like eating in Bangkok. Exquisite garfish and pork belly. Great, prompt service. Understated decor. Also you can watch the chefs at work.

we were a group of 6 friends that booked a table to have dinner on 1 April. We arrived on time but we were asked to wait till our table was vacated. That took 10 mins at least. The table was adjacent to the open...kitchen but what was quite problematic was that the noise levels were very high, so having any type of conversation was very difficult. This may be expected in the modern fit out with very few soft furnishings. But the most DISAPPOINTING aspect was the FOOD. I have dined in many parts of Thailand and many of the less " hip " family owned Thai Restaurants in Adelaide. We were required to have the " feed me menu" : this is one of the most frustrating aspects of the post covid restaurant dining experience. The entree was octopus : I think we each got 2 'tentacles " with a very dry sticky rice that had been packed in to little woven baskets many hours ago. The papaya salad was passable but had no red chilli or small prawn or tomato in it ! The 2nd course was fish : we each got one piece of fish : flavours were excellent with this dish: This came with rice vermicelli noodles : a boiled clump of carbs ! The 3rd course was Green Beef curry: served with jasmine rice. The Green curry was very thin with barely 10 ( very thin)slices of beef between 3 people. More infuriating is the fact that the waiting staff give you this long winded spiel about the spices and region and preparation of what is being served: BEWARE it is a CARBS heavy feed me option with an attempt to fill you up with noodles and white rice. one person in our group did not eat beef so three people were forced to choose Green chicken curry ! how does that work Soi 38. I will not recommend Soi 38 and would rather you check out 8020BK or Krung Thep in north Adelaide On another note I do hope that those that enforce feed me menus on their guests do eventually go bankrupt !More

We chose the $60 Day in Bangkok menu. Such a huge amount of food, with 2 multi dish courses catered to your likes/dislikes, allergies and even your spice tolerance. Beautiful tasting cocktails. The waitress we had delivered the best service we have ever had -...attentive and genuine. Stunning restaurant. We would come back in a heart beat.More

Pros: - brilliant service - personable wait staff - great menu - flavor and spice are brilliant - amazing dining space - great for a shared group dinner Cons: - ask not to be seated by the entrance door Just amazing! Staff are so friendly...and welcoming, food is a fantastic selection of small eats and great dishes to share. They all taste to unique and nothing is like the other. This was our second visit and we look forward to our next! Highly recommend.More

We managed to grab the last spot - sitting at the bar - for dinner in this fabulous, very popular Thai / fusion restaurant. The staff were really friendly and helpful even though the restaurant was full. Constant stream of hopeful diners trying to get...a table and being turned away so book well in advance. The food (with gluten free options) and wine selection were extensive. Chive cakes were delicious as was the pad thai.More

We had a great dinner. The pad Thai was wonderful only to be bested by the crispy pork belly. Service was wonderfully attentive, timely and friendly. We loved our evening at Soi 38.

As we came across this restaurant & had just finished our starters, I was sent a positive review from the Sunday Times from my UK friends . coincidental completely but the food was fantastic & the staff matched the good. In fact we showed the...team the review at the end of the evening so well done to you all.More

Soi 38 we consider to be one of the best Thai restaurants in Adelaide, usually full of flavour and not altered for the Australian palate. Saturday night just gone was very ordinary and bland. In the past a table of six we were able to...choose our dishes we wanted , however this time we did not have a choice. Although the food was fine, it was not what we would have chosen except maybe the starter and the somtum. there was no spice really at all, very disappointed. We will go back but will have to remember that we cant go with more than 5 people as we dont want the same experience againMore

We had the Tour of Thailand. North was just OK, Central and South were good. The whole fish and pork belly were standouts. Good drinks, friendly service and good vibes!
